Does anyone have an idea how to get a bearing out that is stuck at a slant? Because of this the rod won't spin and is coming leading out crooked as heck. The rod was fitting through the bearing fine but now that its slanted in there it has to be hammered in with a mallet. Kind of frustrating..

Hammer the rod from the outside down the emitter. Once it's close to the emitter try using something thay will fit in the neck. If it's not too stuck a ballpoint pen with the tip pulled out should work. If not, use a 5/16th wooden dowel. ($0.95 at homedepot)

I can hammer the rod through and it doesn't move. I'll have to pick up a wood dowel and probably a new bearing. Thanks!

Exactly the problem that I'm having. My best guess, and I haven't tried it yet, is to use a piece of dowel, maybe, and figure out which edge needs to be pushed to get the bearing straightened out, align the dowel to that edge and gently tap that, hopefully tapping it back into line. Like I say, haven't tried it yet, but it's my best idea so far.

Big discussion about it here in the link below.

The biggest problem, IMO, is that there is no Luke saber in TFA. There's a Luke ROTJ-hero-like saber on a table in a random video segment about props - which may be some random thing the prop guys have in their shop that never makes it into any movie. I'd defer to Officer Barbrady on this one "move along, nothing to see here."

This is exactly what I had to do to get mine out once. Based on the angle of the rod through the neck you can tell which side of the bearing you'll need to tap to get it straight again. (I used a long screwdriver.) Once you see the rod straighten in the neck you'll know the bearing is straight again too and you can tap them both out through the neck.

Um, is this normal? .... When I insert the pommel all the way, part of it obstructs the hole for the set screw. In order to insert the set screw I have to back the pommel out of the body more than a millimeter, creating a gap between the pommel and the body. Is everyone's saber like this and that gap is supposed to be there? Doesn't seem right.
