Luke ROTJ V2 lightsaber

Personally, I never really 'saw' a recessed emitter on this saber.

That may be the best shot representing the original paint job that I have ever seen.

Good question. There still isn't any proof that they are not the same saber, but there is some very good evidence.

With these Star Wars era stunt sabers, it seems we may never know.

Here's a photo from the duel, with the spinning stunt blades. Sure looks like the V2 with triangular shaped blade inserted and no emitter ring/recess.

Just to make sure - is there any way of telling the V2 from the Shared stunt back then?

The V2 clamp was missing the side bar and had the extra long lever even back during ANH. That's probably the best "tell" for that saber prop if you can see it. There's plenty of proof they are two different sabers.

:lol I quite agree they are different props - I just knew they looked very similar back then - thanks though, I was wondering what to look for..

Ooh, add on - another great picture, thank you. I think the sticks were square. What convinced me was a Blu-ray shot of the tip of Obi Wans - the mistake where the blue disappears and the tip lights up.

If it pleases the court: while I have no new evidence regarding the lever, I submit exhibit ob1 for your shape accuracy fans:

Notice what appears to be a FLAT emitter face

Uh.. well I see the light reflecting on what could be the step/lip of the recessed area.

I think I should also say I have no particular favored side of this debate but although a nice picture, when you zoom in the resolution is not good enough to pick up the type of details you want it to show.

And if there is a recessed area, it could simply be just a millimeter.

Sold my v2 a while back and had the itch to get another. Bought this Russ saber(came with the lever)for my birthday, dressed it up with one of Roman's clamps from his recent run, a slothfurnace buss card and here it is. After doing a little research, I know this belonged to Zombie Killer at one point. Anyways, glad to have it back in the collection.

I'm pretty sure that's the "Yuma" saber, used out on the sail barge, and later as the "Hero"
The V2 Specs are a little different. I know that the V2 & Shared stunt all fit a Graflex clamp - and the above blueprints are a bit smaller in diameter. (Different props)

Try searching some more on here, The RPF, I feel like I've asked for them before too.

Fun tip? I heard somewhere that if you make the grip ring cuts with two \ / moves instead of one V you get a more accurate grips!

Ahhh damn, yea that can happen over the years. Whatever you find - make sure the space where the clamp goes is roughly 1 1/2 inches in diameter, that'll be your V2 or Shared Stunt. LUKE_STUNT_EP61.jpg I've got this, but it's such bad quality I can't read the effing numbers. Anyone have a full res copy of this blueprint?!
