Limited Run Luke ROTJ V2 lightsaber- based on the new info from SWCA (UPDATE PG 37)

Re: Luke ROTJ V2 lightsaber- based on the new info from SWCA (UPDATE PG 12)

can add threading myself, BUT you really have to give them a call to kick the person, who´s responsible for packing/ shipping.

That´s an absolute NO-GO

Next time simply go with Dave at DEC (DarkEnergyCreations)...his work is incredible and he always packs the orders in a way, that even the worst postal service wouldn´t be able to do the machined parts any "harm"

OR -if you want a solution in EU- contact russrep

This sucks, I've met gits like this before. They have the practical skills but they lack respect for the product or client and then act up. Do what you can with your bank to get your money back. At the moment they've wasted your time, if you can get it back then it is their time that has been wasted and they will feel more like correcting things.

I hope this doesn't put you off other runs, this journey has turned out well, for the most part. From theory -> design -> real prop.

Still looks amazing! (Even if the machine shop did a horrible job packing your order)

Re: Luke ROTJ V2 lightsaber- based on the new info from SWCA (UPDATE PG 12)

WOW :eek

Nice.

By the way: The problem with the m3 drilling is not that I couldn't do it, but the drill would break and stuck in the hole for sure. Only when I do it myself of course ;)

Very much looking forward to receiving this.

[emoji1] NICE! If this is what it looks like, I am very happy.

This is what they consider individual protective packaging20150630_173227.jpg

Looks really good!

Can't wait for this!

Re: Luke ROTJ V2 lightsaber- based on the new info from SWCA (UPDATE PG 12)

surprising, usually machine shops are so up tight and over protective

Re: Luke ROTJ V2 lightsaber- based on the new info from SWCA (UPDATE PG 12)

Protection against what?
Against staying clean and new?

Can't belief that a shop could be so ignorant.

Edit:
Maybe this is why the original looks so beaten-up. Natural weathering through machine shop ;)

Re: Luke ROTJ V2 lightsaber- based on the new info from SWCA (UPDATE PG 12)

If they look as good as that picture, then I'm beyond happy. I don't mind a few nicks or scratches. Hurry up and take my money!

Re: Luke ROTJ V2 lightsaber- based on the new info from SWCA (UPDATE PG 12)

Sucks about the shop. You mentioned driving there to argue. Maybe if it's not too far away you could just have them hold the parts for you to pick up for future runs. The inconvenience could mean you'll have to raise the price a bit, but the time/hassle saved by not having to worry about damaged parts would make up for it IMHO.

By the way, the saber looks awesome.
