LOST - was like a messy kids room

Judging by that Damon interview from the other thread....which was AWESOME...I'd say it's gone for good.

Although I do not share any of the opinions of the interviewer regarding the finale (I loved it), I am glad he was able to extract that 20+ minutes from Damon. Quality stuff.

I still hold to my theory that they were going with the island being purgatory and everyone figured it out right away and they had to hurry and figure out something different.

what happened to Claire?

Ooh! Ooh! I know that one!!

She got captured by the evil Queen and was locked in a library basement in New England!!!

Too bad the rest of the cast didn't get the fairy tale ending.

Drumroll please, thanks.

I just acquired Netflix and have started watching LOST.

I saw the first 3 seasons then stopped watching between seasons.

Should be interesting to see how it all played out. Last I saw Charlie was drowning in a Darma station.

I have managed to avoid all info. This should be fun.

I cannot believe you have managed to avoid all info - that is an amazing accomplishment in and of itself.

It's awesome you get to watch it with a clean slate, though, it's quite an experience. Can't wait to see what you think of season 6.

I agree that this is a very likely scenario.

I'm of a different opinion for a couple reasons:

1) If we assume that purgatory was their intent and that people figured it out in the first half of Season 1 (which was not a hard guess since Jack and others said that multiple times early in Season 1) then it makes no sense that "they had to hurry and figure out something different". If that was the case they had 5.5 seasons to do their thing. Hardly a rush.

2) Have you seen this recent interview? I may not be the best judge of character but this does not seem like a guy who is interested in still keeping up some grand obfuscation. He pretty clearly lays out the show they wanted to make (and made), and I gotta say - I believe him. But, I already did.

I'm not trying to change anyone's mind, of course....just giving my opinion. Still love thinking about this show. :)

I totally forgot that Shannon got shot by Anna. WOW.

I've pretty much remembered everything that has happened so far except that.

Getting close to where I know nothing. This should be fun.

Such a great show. Never has there been a show where I had to watch each episode live, and was always watching at the edge of my seat. I've analyzed that show so much. What's funny is that when people say, they didnt answer any questions, and then give examples, I basically tell them yes they did, and it was this. It's true they didnt answer all questions, but most of them were.

I felt very shortchanged that there were no dinosaurs, or even pissed off giraffes. Just a freaking smoke monster. Sigh.

It had such potential.

I always watched LOST on the edge of my seat too. The time just flew. You'd be in the last two minutes of an episode and go... what? It's over already?

So at this stage, what is your opinion on the characters - is there anyone you like less or more based on how they are being developed?

I, too, miss the show quite a bit. Really, the only TV show that I had to watch every week, and nobody better bother me, call me, talk, or otherwise while I was watching!

I was sad to see Rousseau and the kids get popped.

Ben is wonderfully creepy, even more so when he was a kid.

I was glad to see Roger Work Man played by a favor character actor of mine.

I like Faraday and Miles, but I'm betting they don't make it too long.

Who the hell is Jeremy Bentham?

Haha! Yeah, season 5 is full of semi-answers. Thankfully those moments aren't quite as obvious as the Star Wars prequels so there is a fun element of surprise.

I'm finding there's not much I can say without spoiling, so I'm going to just say - keep the comments and reactions coming! It's like reliving the first watch! :D
