Lost season 6 with spoilers beware

Everybody, their daughter Ji Yeon is the Kwon candidate!

I agree, and if this is truth...Smokey will never be able to leave the island, as she is with Sun's mother off island. Smokey never mentions the child, only that he did'nt know which Kwon was a candidate since only the last name was listed in the cave and light house.

I think we also now no that Smokey does not need transportation to get off the island, if he did...I doubt he would be so eager to put the explosives in Jack's pack, and let Lapidous in the sub, since he seems to be the only pilot on the island.

I am wondering where Miles, Richard and Ben are at. They sure are taking their sweet time getting the TNT.

With all the Aaron-is-important and Walt-is-special and steal-the-kids stuff that was going on in Season Two and the angel kid that's probably either a version of Jacob or of the MiB, I really think the Ji Yeon thing will be addressed.

I think Sideways Locke saying he had a private pilot's license is going to play into things if Frank is really dead although I don't think he is. He's going to show up in a speedboat with a coupla dames in bikinis and a keg of beer and wondering why everyone thought he was dead. :)

I also think that since Fake Locke grabbed the watch BEFORE he saw the C4 in the Ajira plane, he either did that himself or somehow knew that Richard, Ben, and Miles had wired it up since that what we saw them doing last: going to go get bang-bang to blow up the plane.

I thought the deaths were all kind of silly, but I thought the character reactions to the deaths was well played.

Lapidus deserved a better death. Heck, he deserved a better season. He didn't do anything. He was just a tag along.

I loved Sawyer's line a couple of eps back about Lapidus: "that guy who looks like he came from a Burt Reynolds movie":lol

Damn Sawyer!!! Ever since I heard that line, I haven't been able to get it off my head! :lol I also loved all the Star Wars references thrown in by Sawyer and Hurley.

I have to say, Ive been a bit disappointed with the last few episodes of LOST. (I think they're really spreading it thin).

Is it me or have the last few episodes been nothing more than characters changing their minds about things?

Example

Character - "C'mon guys, we have to go in this direction!"

Everyone follows....

Five minutes later -

Character -"No wait....We have to go in that direction!"

Everyone follows...

Character -"Im joining up with Locke!".

Five minutes later

Character - "Wait...I change my mind, Locke is evil...Im not joining up with Locke!"

It seems they're just going around in circles to fill up air time until the finale.

Or how about:

Character - I've been the leader since Episode One but not anymore!
Character now becomes a follower for about three episodes.

Well we know Jack is the one so obviously everyone has to die. It is like knowing that that little runt in Phantom Menace becomes that guy that runs around in the black suit with helmet!

I would not be so quick to assume we know that Jack will be the one. Even if he is, part of the enjoyment is the ride to see just how it happens, let's hope the end result is more satisfying than ROTS:unsure

I would not be surprised if the writers take the ending if a different direction, especially if the Kwon kid and Walt do factor into it.

Not what I'm really thinking, but I can imagine some...

OK, my fellow LOST fans, I have a completely left-field, hair-brained, 'they-would-never-do-that' idea about how (part) of this may turn out. Please find legit reasons to tear this apart so I can get it out of my head.

Locke X (sideways Locke) replaces Jacob.

Here is how it popped into my head:

Supposition #1 - Dimension X is (apparently) merging with the Island dimension.
Supposition #2 - Dimensional merger may provide for a live person (by choice or not) to take the place of their dead counterpart.
Fact #1 - Walt made a prediction that Locke would be sitting on the island, in a suit, and surrounded by people who want to kill him.
Supposition #3 - Walt's prediction did not exactly come true and may still be pending.
Fact #2 - The most iconic 'I want to kill you' line was delivered by the MIB to Jacob.
Fact #3 - Until Jack's recent flirtation with Island-faith, Real-Locke has/had been the most faithful and willing character to embrace the island (and still may be).
Supposition #4 - With a dimensional merger, Locke X is on the island, is the new Jacob, surrounded by either 'good' guys who think he is the Locke-dressed monster OR surrounded by those who are not on the MIB side. Either way, the group is hostile and the line is delivered - "Do you have any idea how much we want to kill you?"

Yes, bizarre, but I can't get it out of my head.

Please help. :wacko

Oh, and by the way, Real Locke may still be a candidate - it was Fake Locke that scratched the Locke name off of the wall - not Jacob (who could have done it when Locke died, but didn't . . .

Anyone who's reading my crazy here and on Spectacularry.com is also checking out my FB page, too, yes? Because my friends there have me writing LAPIDUS: IF IT'S GOT WINGS, I'LL FLY IT follow-up graphic novels. :)

So who's left?

Jack Kate Hurley, and maybe sawyer.

If Jack is the one, will hurley die? I don't think I could handle that unless he lives with Libbey iin dimension x.

What happened to miles? Has he died yet?

I think Miles, Richard, and Ben will be next to go. I would like to see Ben take out Widmore though.

This would not be a bad product tie in:lol

If Ben and Widmore don't take each other out in some sort of wire-fu ninja fight, I'll feel gypped.

Of course, I feel gypped that Lapidus didn't wrestle a giant squid to help the sub get a few more moments, so there's that.

Looks like Smocke is digging himself a hole here. I don't see how he can possibly succeed at this point. Before this last week, he at least had people following him.. now they'll all turn against him. I'd be surprised if even Claire still follows him after that.

So it definitely looks like Jack is going to be "the one". We know Smocke can't kill him directly, so let's break it down:

Richard - Isn't stupid enough to kill Jack
Ben - Made that mistake already. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
Miles - Doesn't care enough. I don't think there's anything that Smocke can offer him.
Claire - Jack's her brother, and she knows it. She's hurt and confused, but she hasn't gone "dark side".
Kate - Not a chance in hell that she'd turn on Jack.
Sawyer - Ditto. Sure, he doesn't particularly like Jack, but he's not a fool.
Hurley - Wouldn't hurt a fly.

And.. that's about it.. everybody else is dead. Even if Frank's alive, he's Jack's friend.. he's not going to turn on him.

There's Widmore's people, I suppose, but none of them even know who Jack is. And Widmore himself obviously won't go against any of the candidates. (Speaking of which, how did he get the list?!? How does he know who the candidates are? Did Jacob make contact with him before he died?)

So basically you've got Smocke, who can't kill Jack directly. And there's no one left on the Island that's going to do it for him. So I'm curious how he plans to "finish what he started".

The only thing he might have up his sleeve is the ability to kill other people besides Jack. He can't touch Hurley or Sawyer, but Ben, Miles, Kate, and Claire are fair game. Richard.. I dunno.. it depends on how complete Jacob's protection is, I'm not entirely sure he can be killed, despite what he attempted at the Black Rock.

It's getting interesting, though. :) I'm staying the hell away from spoilers. Even the Lost wiki has gone into lockdown mode until after the finale airs.

My husband was out of town on Tuesday, so I just watched the episode again with him...

I cried more watching Jin and Sun die this time, and was so grateful to be able to skip the smoking/shark commercial that ruined the mood the first time.

Something cool I noticed, and maybe someone mentioned, it, but I can't find it, in the hospital the focus is on Jack and Locke, but behind them, Jin walks by with flowers on his way to visit Sun. :love very cool.
