Lost season 6 with spoilers beware

Where did you pick up that Jacob can change forms like Smoky can?

It's just a guess. He can make people immortal; he seemingly brought Locke back to life after he got chucked out the window. Seems a short hop to think he can't change forms, too. :)

And Cap'n Jack; that's a great observation. Maybe Jack *did* get blown up and revived, like what seemingly happened to Claire. That would be cool.

Can Locke fly the plane?

It would seem that if he can read minds, he could have the knowledge to do it. If not, killing lapidas is a sure fire way that no one leaves the island.

Before Locke ever touched him we saw Jack open his eyes and look around. Locke just picked him up and didn't bring him back to life.

Again not a theory just an early morning viewing question.

I have given up understanding LOST. I am just waiting for the train wreck ending! So far from my previous list of questions that I posted only one out of the 25 were answered.

Another perfectly good LOST theory destroyed by facts. :)

Here's another:) Rewatched that scene in lost and you can see Jack move his arms and legs to roll over right before Locke picks him up. So I don't really believe that Jack is going to be paralyzed.

Also in this episode Locke made it pretty clear that he was Christian the whole time. Which I'd have to believe since we haven't seen any proof so far that Jacob can change shape.

You believe the Smoke Monster?!?
:)

Right now because we haven't seen any proof otherwise. Every time Jacob has talked to someone it's been in his usual form. Where as we've seen the MIB change shapes multiple times in the past before.
The MIB did say that Jacob stole his body. Perhaps as a side effect he can change shapes whereas Jacob can not.

Well, leaving aside the Smoke Monster lies all the time, who's this in Jacob's cabin who pleaded "Help meeeee..."?

Until proven we don't know what the MIB is or isn't lying about.

Since the cabin was surrounded by ash and we know that the MIB feels trapped on the island. I still think it was the MIB asking for help, plus it was established later on that Jacob was living in the statue and not in the cabin. The cabin was a prison.

Until proven we don't know what the MIB is or isn't lying about.

While I'm sure you're right about Jacob's cabin being his prison, I only asked incredulously that you believe anything the Smoke Monster says. Or, in a less-loaded wording, that it's hard to take what he says at face value. So, sure, until proven otherwise, we don't know what he is or isn't lying about... but it's been proven he lies on some occasions, so we never know when he's being truthful or not.

It's Tall Walt who makes me think Jacob can change forms, because he's the only character who's appeared where he wasn't supposed to be who isn't dead. Mr. Eko's brother, Kate's white horse, Dave; if you think he's imaginary or not, are all explainable by the Smoke Monster. But if the rules say he can't take anyone's form who isn't dead, that means it was someone else standing over Locke in the Dharma grave pit, telling him he still had work to do. Just like Burial Suit Christian in "So It Begins."

The guy in the cabin was the prop master, Rob Kyker:

The voice in that scene was Carlton Cuse. My guess is that it was just a placeholder, since they hadn't cast either Jacob or MiB yet, and probably doesn't mean anything. But the question remains as to who it actually was sitting in the chair.. Jacob or MiB?

And just because I can't wait two weeks for the next episode, I wrote this:

...where I let you in on how you can tell when Christian Shephard is Jacob and when he's the Smoke Monster.
One hole in that theory. While Christian was talking to Frank and Sun, MiB was over on Hydra Island with the Ajira survivors. He's fast in smoke form, but probably not that fast, and there's some debate on whether he can cross large bodies of water in smoke form.

The only mention of clothing I've ever heard before now was that one of them wears white shoes, the other black. I didn't realize that it was limited to only those two complete outfits (never paid much attention).

What's odd about Smokey's discussion with Jack is that it implies that Locke's body had to be on the Island in order for Smokey to assume his form. But he's done it before.. he appeared to Eko as several people he killed in his past life (at the same time.. neat trick). Yemi's body was actually on the Island, so that's explained easily either way.

The horse is a damn good question. It wasn't white, though.. it was black. And most definitely there.. Sawyer saw it, too, so it couldn't just be some kind of hallucination.

Walt, now... hoo-boy. Here's a theory, and it's my own: That Walt is dead. He appears only with the Whispers, and we know what those are now. Remember back in S2? He appeared twice to Shannon, both times soaking wet (did he drown?), and both times speaking backwards. Most people assume that he was a manifestation of the real Walt, held by the Others elsewhere on the Island and over at Hydra, psychically projecting himself. Possible, but I'm not convinced. And then there's Tall Walt. Sure, the actor was older.. that's a given. But John even made a point of describing him as being taller. At that time, Walt was still only ten years old.. they'd only been on the Island a few months total by this point. So.... future tall Walt travels back in time and dies? Or does time no longer matter to those who are dead, and he can appear at any point in time, even though his death may lie in the future? Just a theory.. hehe. Hopefully we haven't seen the last of young Mr. Lloyd, in any event.

Speaking of Walt.. I'm surprised no one has talked about the dream he had about Locke. That he was back on the Island, wearing a suit, and there were people around him who wanted to hurt him. Surely Walt of all people can tell the difference between Smokey and Locke. And when Smokey took Locke's form, although he probably was wearing a suit when he first appeared (the burial suit), nobody around seemed to want to hurt him. I think Walt was talking about something that we haven't seen yet.

More theories to digest... what about the Hurley-bird? The producers even hinted we might find out something about it before the end.

Okay.. enough typing.. I'm tired.

...and there's some debate on whether he can cross large bodies of water in smoke form.

I'm aware of the debate on that; I just sort of dismiss it because of his appearance on the freighter. I admit that's convenient for my theories. :)

Yemi's body was actually on the Island, so that's explained easily either way.

Good one! I'd forgotten that!

Walt, now... hoo-boy. Here's a theory, and it's my own: That Walt is dead.

I don't think Walt is dead-dead, because Locke visited him in his Avengers-Assemble phase at the school with Abbadon.

I think Walt was talking about something that we haven't seen yet.

I think you're 100% right about that one.

That's one of those things I don't hear until someone points it out to me. Dang; the importance of the color red was just pointed out to me a couple of weeks ago by a pal and now I see it in every episode. :)

At the dentist office I read in some entertainment magazine that in the next new episode...

Ben gets an unusual and unexpected love interest. It didn't say which universe it was in though. Any guesses? I remember he was in love with Juliette in the Darma Inititive, maybe she'll be at the hospital where he takes Locke? That wouldn't be a surprise to me, though.
