The bottom of the patch is by her hand, and the top comes over the back shoulder of the jacket some. Take a tape measure and see what that measurement is and go from there.

Rusty85 and I were discussing the Marko jacket and there is a bit of information I read over the years I thought other people might find interesting. I don't know the actual legitimacy of it all, but it was from legitimate sources.
There is a reoccurring theme of the number 13 on the jacket. In addition to the number 13 patches, there are also 13 skulls, skulls also represent death. The number 13 is popular with motorcycle club culture for several known reasons. The thirteenth number of the alphabet is "M". The "M" has been known to stand for "motorcycle" as in motorcycle club. It's also been known to stand for Marijuana, methamphetamine, and murder. The motorcycle clubs have always been known to deal in narcotics to help finance themselves and addition to having regular jobs. Also, another definition of a 13 patch is that the wearer is his own judge & jury - this is due to 13 standing for 12 jurors and the additional number being the judge. Which ties his jacket to David's who has the button Spectemur Agendo and is a Latin phrase that translates to "Let us be judged by our actions". Marko has matadors on his jacket and Star is wearing what appears to be a Matador jacket. Marko has a leopard on his jacket and so does Dwayne, a leopard is a predator and so are they. Personally I don't think it's a coincidence that their jackets tie in some way or another. I've also read that all the patches on Marko's jacket are "kill trophies" from the bikers, gang members, and homeless teens he killed. Those groups would have been more desirable because the police wouldn't do as much investigation. The fact of the matter is that they are murderers and view people as food.
Also, they all wore what appears to be "found trinkets" and decorations either from the beach, their cave, or off their victims. Marko's squid skirt fishing lures were presumably found on the beach or in the cave and he thought they looked cool so he stuck them on his jacket. Squids are also a predatoral species coinciding with the existing theme and give the look of a shoulder epaulet.
It's of my opinion that the jackets are more complex then what the average person would interpret and that the costume designer Susan Becker put alot of of thought into them, much more than what the average person would even understand. It was written that the actors were able to choose their own costumes and went to Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills and picked them out, that is completely false. Billy Wirth said in an interview that Susan allowed them to add a personal touch to their costumes such as jewelry and his words were taken out of context.

You sir are the undisputed champion, there has never been a more accurate replica than yours. It's scary that it could actually pass as a real movie used prop, well done. My only critique would be to add a little Fuller's Earth or pastel earth chalks to some of the "white" patches to age them a little more. Go very easy though, you don't want them too dirty either.

It is very interesting. I actually looked this stuff up years ago because I'm a nerd and was writing a lot of fanfiction. So, in order to get to know Marko better as a character I did some studying on things like the skulls and the 13, because I did a little back story for him. I was told by a friend who has met Billy several times that he had that leopard painted on because it represented LSD? I think someone was a bit heavy on the drugs back in the day.

I don't see the correlation between LSD and a leopard, and yes I'm from the generation of LSD and pot smoking. Not that I would know first hand about that, a friend told me.
