Hi guys,
So I've been following this thread now for about 2-3 years on-off as I'm a lost boys fan and wanted to recreate all the jackets. I'm on the lost boys facebook groups too and so are you but I thought to chime in with my experience on the jacket.
First of all, I just want to thank everyone on here that has contributed their efforts to making the jacket, really appreciate it. I feel that it's my turn to chime in on helping someone with theirs.
With my jacket as so many people have referenced other people's jackets and with the movie having about 4-5 I based mine off the promo shots (not the jackets in the movie). I've personally since all tapestries over the past 3 years daily searching (lol) pop up but some extremely hard to obtain or just missed out.
pennywise I used contrado 3 times now and they are great, I got the 2 ladies printed off by them as I was going to create more jackets. I photoshopped the front snake lady from a high res image and that seems to have come out pretty nice. The rear lady there was lots of low res images so I recreated a version in photoshop as a 'touch up' since a lot of pictures wasn't taken direct always some weird angle, just in time to get my jacket made and signed by Alex. I too have multiple contrado prints of the ladies if anyone is interested but I'm a big guy so they are scaled up.

I've since found an original lady at the rear of the jacket but the tapestry is from the 60's (original seller in Turkey) I actually bidded 411 on that tapestry on ebay, thought I would of gotten it but it jumped to 450 I believe haha.

Since I'm a big guy I noticed I'm taking up a lot of the tapestry so the sizes are bigger and not as close to film prop style hence I'm recreating a smaller version to frame and one to wear.
With the patches I basically photoshopped them all since the original sizes on my jacket doesn't look right, but I've found some originals.

I've found 2x original 'Join the professionals' (on my bed) and the 1903 below:

For my own personal journey I need to change the giant skull on the left to the correct version (this one on ebay was just the right size in time), get the proper squid lures (damm hard), get patches finally merrow stitched (mine are flat) but its damm expensive almost 30 USD per design then making is an extra 30 USD, reposition the front lady a little more, update the collar colour (was actually taken of peagus tapestry below), add the lady to the rear (don't want to cut it hahaha), update the 'live to ride, ride to live' skull on the left side, add a smaller version of the skull bones to the collar then I'm pretty set.
Here are some tapestries I collected along the way, you can see the same images of the lions / tigers on the woman tapestry on the chariot.

I have some photoshop copies of the patches since I sent them off to be done. I'm not 100% happy with the viking patch but get everything is a placeholder until I get originals.
I see some the 'repent' patches not really resembling the original so here is mine photoshopped version and also the biker rider:

When you go to the embroidery they should do it on the machine and give you a preview of the stitching width etc.
When I look at the patches there some that are reprinted but slightly vary for example the skull with glasses, its more 'crooked' skull on the original but most people reprint is more cleaned up, its kinda up to the jacket creator I guess how far they want to make it close to the original.
I've also finished my David all with original parts, and just started Pauls. I got Dwaynes but that was 10 years ago I need to update it haha.
Anyway any questions let me know can help.
