Lost Auction - Did anyone here get anything?

After a lot of tears and at 6 am in France, after 8 hours of failed attempts with Locke items, my husband and I finally manage to have something of one of our favorite characters, Richard Alpert. It was his birthday present (and a lot for me too but hey, it costs nothing to pretend it's for him and be the hero :lol), you can imagine how thrilled he was !

It was a very long auction. I don't know if it's always like that because we just did the BSG auctions who were much shorter but god, how intense was this experience !

Gallifrey, Nice one! Richard is a favorite of mine too. I'm curious, what are you going to do with it? Put it on display, keep it in a box safe, have your husband wear it during the rewatch of the dvd's? :lol

Nestor will be on Psyche next week, btw. ;)

I did not bid on anything, but I've a friend whose effects co. did some props for the LOST production - Sawyer's glasses, bombs etc. And they did one of my favorites, which my friend gave me a few of, the DHARMA Fish Biscuit. His co. also did props for HEROS, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Jeff Dunham Puppets, movies, Batman: Dead End - He's a great, talented guy.

We're gonna display it.
We'll see his size first before deciding how : dummy (is that the good word ? i find this akward in google translate, isn't a dummy someone dumb ?) if i find one who fits or a custom frame.

Thanks for the tip, I like Psych !

Dummy works, its used both ways equally and taken in context for what you mean. Or you could use mannequin.

I just watched Psyche for the first time the other night - had no idea it was so campy. I was not expecting a comedy. My husband kept telling me, no, they're supposed to be that stupid, that's why it's funny. :lol

Those biscuits look pretty straight forward to make - if they taste like ginger, maybe it's a gingerbread cookie with some food dye. :D

The Fish Biscuits are mostly a recipe made from the Civil War era known as Hard Tack, with some Gingerbread spices & sugar thrown in. Classic Hard Tack, if kept dry would last for months for a soldier out in the field of battle. This recipe allowed for a specific shape, as well as the DHARMA word/logo pressed into the dough to retain it's shape, yet still be edible, as you see Kate take a bite of one. The Biscuits were so popular, that the cast & crew ate them all and the production company ordered a 2nd batch!

I did ALOT of inspection on the fish biscuit lot. I think my brother and I were lucky because he was off for summer for work too...we even managed to get in contact with Profiles. Basically the box of fish biscuits that came with the machine were more than likely dog biscuits...for show since the box was never opened in the 12 minute extras package made for the dvd/blu release. As an addendum we also discovered that there were two different kinds of fish biscuit used. They were made exactly like you said but they looked a little different depending on if it was earlier in the series or later.

We wanted to split up the fish biscuits and sell them seperate....little did we know that they would sell with the machine for that obscene amount...which lets face it....is totally daft.

Not a Sawyer fan, but still interested in anything anyone got. :) :thumbsup

So congrats on that!

You'll have to tell us what it smells like. I'm guessing Old Spice. :lol

Nice....but what we really want to know is who bought the passports, and DHARMA items .... so much items to split.

I want to contact the winner of the Journal. That *WAS* going to be the item I went for until the price took off. I would die (and pay) for some reference pictures to complete my personal faraday journal replica.

Those are some of the spiffier costumes that went up! Great catch with them. Will you wear or display or what?

Faraday's hat is way cool. Love it!

The Journal would have been sweet, definitely.

Wow ! Great catches ! Both of you ! Between Faraday and Sawyer, there are some sweets costumes !
The journal was one of my favorites too. I would like to know the winner of Rousseau's map too to have closer photos.
