A little while ago Tjack and I purchased molds from member AGFRX7 for a Loki helm.

We won't be exactly creating a run as these will always be available upon request.
They will be roto-cast in Smooth-on Onyx.
Horns are separate to make it easier to ship, these helmets will require some clean up. We will not be offering any painted helmets. I have posted a picture of one that was painted by the original mold owner AGFRX7. Message myself or Tjack if interested.
casts will be $200

Re: LOKI Helm

Hey sorry DOORMANMATT didn't see your post. I'm casting one as we speak, I'll snap a picture of it once I'm done and I pop it out of the mold.

Re: LOKI Helm

Just sent you a PM to buy one of these. What paint / finishing was used for the one above?

Re: LOKI Helm

Can you post some pics of your own casts? I'd like to see how much clean up is required. Thanks.

Re: LOKI Helm

UPDATE: THESE PICTURES WERE FROM THE ORIGINAL MOLD.
Here are 2 pictures of a cast, granted each cast may have lesser or more clean up required as these are slush cast. I do my best to keep them around what you see here.

Re: LOKI Helm

bobafett669 once the edges are cleaned up on both ends you can use any adhesive. A 2 part epoxy would be best. Once that is done use some bondo to fill all around the seam.
As for paint color I'm not sure

Re: LOKI Helm

For those that are interested in his helmet, here is what I received and what I've done with it. I placed large bolts to strengthen the joints in the horns, and then I filled the lower portion of them with resin to make them extra strong. Took a good amount of prep work to get it ready, but it is an awesome helmet. The only thing I haven't added yet is the padding to help keep it steady.

Re: LOKI Helm

Looks great! Thanks for posting pics. If we ever get a chance we may revamp the mold, theres a few issues we would want to address. But you did an excellent job with it.

Re: LOKI Helm

I am very pleased with the mold - Once finished & polished it looks like the real thing. It's a little heavy since I filled the horns with resin, but it is rock solid.
