Sorry... Imissed this question. Recoil is super tame... to me anyway. With all the added weight it's VERY manageable. My wife and her tiny friends can shoot it just fine. The weight makes it harder to hold still... but recoil is light.

Hey Scott, just wanted to let you know that any thread you are posting in has my antivirus going crazy because of phishing from www.scottandtempphotography.com.
don't know if you are aware of this and if this is bad, in any case for me it pretty much makes it impossible to read your threads as the antivirus is poping up like crazy.

I'm building a live fire DL-44 ANH hero version. I'm going to convert mine to 9mm. Scott, did you use an aluminum or steel flash hider and bull barrel?

I have an aluminum bull barrel and flash hider. I have yet to thread my barrel and get it lined for 9mm. I just wanted to make sure the aluminum flash hider will handle the percussive force.
