List your most satisfying 'smacks' or 'shots' in movies.

There's a lot of violence out there, much of it is just expected and ho hum. But every once in a while a character takes a hit who REALLY had it coming or got it right when you weren't expecting it but were glad to see it.

Examples:

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom: After a long battle, Indy is threatened by a fancy knife wielder, pulls out a gun and just shoots him.

Lord of the Rings: Return of the King: Denethor, steward of Gondor - when Gondor is being attacked, in despair tells everyone to leave their posts and run for them lives - Gondor smacks him up side the head with his staff. (My niece and I just watched this tonight and I was so ready for that loon to be taken out. haha! That's what inspired this thread)

Loved that one. The look on Gandalf's face when he whacked Denethor was absolutely perfect. Mixture of disgust and annoyance :lol

I've another one I liked in Return of the King: Aragorn decapitating the Mouth of Sauron. Another guy who really had it coming to him. No warning, just.... Mouth: "Yada, yada, yada, *sckkthhh!* ....*plop*"

yeah :lol I guess it was so famous I didn't need to describe it so much.

The mouth of sauron's head getting lopped was equally surprising and satisfying since he was spewing lies.

The Clone Wars Animation Series: Bad guy kidnaps pacifist Senator that Obi-wan cares about. When she pulls a gun on him and can't shoot, he mouths off to her and Obi-wan about how she'll be a hypocrite if she shoots and Obi-wan will lose her admiration if he strikes him down - who is going to be the 'cold blooded killer?'. Enter from behind, through his chest a lightsabor blade - Anakin.

This isn't a movie, but involves a movie star.

Back when Third Rock from the Sun was on TV, William Shatner played 'The Big Giant head' - leader of the aliens. Anyhow, there was a scene with him and the girl who played John Lithow's secretary (can't remember her or her characters name). Anyhow, they're having an arguement and she hauls off and slaps him. After the slap, you can see a giant hand print on the side of his face. She LITERALLY hauled off and hit him. The show ran 2-3 years longer and he appeared in a number of episodes. Those 2 were never in the same shot ever again.
