Does anyone know of anywhere that sells display cases similar to the ones Master Replicas used to sell with their hilts? I have a static hilt collection and some really cool plaques but would like a nice stand/case to finish it off. See images from google for reference:

I found one a while ago but it was crazy expensive, would want multiple. Just thought I'd ask in case someone knew a small business/website that made these kind of things as it's something I'd imagine someone would replicate somewhere on the internet. Thanks!

There was a guy on Etsy “pcmod shop” but he won’t make them anymore.. I’ve begged him for my real parts Obi.. with no luck

Check your local Hobby Lobby or Michael’s. They usually have the clear cases for displaying model cars, and a lightsaber hilt will fit.

I found that guys shop and yeah, he makes some really great stuff. He has one of these left in stock but its just the base, plus I wouldn't need the plaque:

And I can see going back through his review history that he used to sell the display cases exactly like you said:

Which is exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks for telling me about this guy but damn that's annoying because I think that's the best type of display for a static hilt, plus my house gets dusty which is why I'm particularly keen for the cover. I might drop this guy a message at some point, no harm in asking right? If he caught me on a day when I was feeling impulsive, I would go ahead and order 6 of these; maybe he'd consider a custom order if it was large enough and he could still make it?

By the way, did you ever build your real parts Obi? Or do you intend to keep the vintage pieces separate and unaltered? I remember you collecting all the pieces and had them separate in your series but can't recall anything after unless it was mentioned in a later video. Either way, what an achievement!

I'm guessing those are American stores but there will definitely be an equivalent over here. I'll browse some local craft and model stores, thank you!

Reach out to him maybe if we can tell him we would buy 2 he would do it. I know the excuse he gave me was the cases would come scratched

The quality control sucked.. so idk if he’ll still do it

So.. the Obi story, someone ended up donating a wicked nice camera to me about a year and half ago. This thing was way over my head, so I have a little sister who is going through college majoring in video production. I gave her the camera to learn it and then teach me.

So she learned the camera and was slowly teaching me, we filmed some scenes with dry ice and all kinds of back grounds.. she did a wicked good job, but it was all on her computer

Well her computer crashed.. we lost not just my stuff but all her school work

I now can use the camera but my computer won’t handle it.. so I’m planning on buying a new computer in April and re filming everything lol

Unfortunately they don’t carry these.. I’m there everywhere weekend

Sorry to hear that lol. At least there's a video to look forward to though... I'm guessing it could drop around the time 'Kenobi' starts which is rumoured to be May 4th.

And yeah, I'll send that guy a message and let you know what he says.

You read my mind lol that’s my goal ;)

This story has me curious what camera you guys are using. I own my own video production company, so it sparked my interest, lol.

That Etsy guy still hasn't responded yet after 24h, however I've found someone else who makes something similar on Ebay all handcrafted. This is a link to his page:

I think they look pretty good and he gets good reviews as a seller, I might message him and watch the item for a bit. I'm also going to give the Etsy guy more time to respond.

This may not be exactly what you want, but it could work. I got them at Hobby Lobby for about $15. If you already have the saber and the plaque, all you need is a stand. That should be easy enough to make or source from an online vendor or RPF member.

They come clear, but the base could be painted or covered with some silver film to mimic a mirror. By the way, if you paint the clear base, apply the paint on the BOTTOM. Viewed from the top, it provides for a near flawless glossy finish.

I bought from him two years ago this display stand model.

I took 4 ( Obi / graflex / MPP / LS6 )
The quality is really good and gives a really classy touch.
Two years ago it was much more cheaper. About 30$ each stand.
He sent me the package but was lost in transit. He had to send a new parcel and after that decided to stop shipping overseas.

Pity that I didn’t order the case with.

That looks really nice. Lucky you managed to get one in the end even after it got lost in the post. I particularly like the base you've got and how the mirror is elevated. It's such a shame that not many people on the internet make this style of display as it definitely looks the best in my opinion. Even if that Etsy guy was willing to make the Master Replicas style one again, I'd be hesitant with how much it would likely cost to ship to the UK, especially considering I'd need 6 (Obi-Wan ANH, Graflex ANH, Graflex ESB, MPP ESB, Luke V1, Luke V2). I may just settle for the guy I found on eBay, still looks really good.

Nice V3 as well btw, I don't see many people go for that version of Lukes lightsaber.

For the story the 4 stands were lost and he send me back 4 new ones.
And you’re right. Don’t understand why we can’t find more display stand in that style. So classy.
Thanks for the V3… but these last days, I put it back in hero style. There’s something so iconic with it… can’t managed to decide…
