Life Size Doc Brown Work in Progress

Re: 1:1 Doc Brown

Yeah, redo it mate.

If something bugs me with a prop, I find that I cant rest easy until it's corrected.

With a fix on those eyes (and maybe resculpt the ears if they bug you with some epoxy putty?) the bust will look a lot better!

Re: 1:1 Doc Brown

I am sure it still can use some work, but how's this?

Re: 1:1 Doc Brown

Still have a few more pieces to add, but here's my Doc so far. Eyebrows are way too fake.

He has quite fine eyebrows, not at all heavy and bushy.

I would either paint the brows with a fine art brush, or superglue (TINY drops only!) very small hairs in place, a few at a time. You can always glue slightly longer, fine hairs in then trim them later with scissors.

Look at as many reference pics of Doc as you can to get the correct curve and length of the eyebrows, too.

I think the eyes need a little work. Everyone has little blood vessels in the whites of their eyes and your Doc's are just too stark white. I'm not sure of the best way to add that detail, though. You'll have to be careful not to add so much that they come out looking blood shot, however.

Hmm. Maybe with a fine tip red pen? Thanks for the suggestion!

Just a thought, crazy glue tends to yellow with time. I wonder if I paint them over with a little glue.

Respectfully he looks like plastic. Something has to be done with his complexion. On the upside, there is no mistaking who it is. He just looks too...cartoony.

For the blood vessels in the eyes, you can take some UNWAXED dental floss, dye it with red food coloring, seperate it into the smallest fibers you can, paint the eye with 5 min epoxy, and lay a few of the fibers into the sides/ corners, before it cures. Looks really great and it's dirt cheap. :)

Good luck!
