Licensed Serenity Swords? Yes!

Any idea how they compare to the screen used props? Anyone got comparison pics or screen caps? They look pretty cool.

they based there design on it, the off the shelve had 4 large slots, the operative 5.

looks to me museumreplicas is cutting corners and is just altering the cheap off the shelve ones.$155 is a lot of money for the new grips on a $10 sword, and from what i can see they even have those wrong :(

bummer, i have been looking forward to this sword for a long time.... :thumbsdown

I may eventually pick up this one, but since it's just going to hang on a wall, my cheapie version will suffice until further notice.

Thanks for posting that though.

Wow, that's kind of lame to leave out the fifth hole and get the grips wrong.

Weren't they supposed to do Mal Reynolds costume pieces too?

That looks mighty shiny, but yeah, way to spoil a prop. Makes you wonder what they're thinking if they can't get it right. Tis a pity.

I'll tell you exactly what they were thinking:

"Hey, Joe, remember that $10 POS sword we couldn't give away last year? We'll throw some $5 grips on it, stick a "Serenity" sticker on the box and sell it as a movie prop - those people will buy anything"

That's what they were thinking. And 90% of the time, they'll be right. Most people won't sit there and analyze the movie, they'll say "yup, looks just like I remembered it" and throw away money on it because someone told them it was a movie replica.
