Licensed Pulse Rifle pre-order

I'm sticking with the green version, but I have to admit that BB version as shown in the video looks sweet!!! :love

Did anyone notice the lack of trigger for the grenade launcher in the video? They show it prominently in the screen shots on their site, but in the video it looks like it's no longer there.

Don't forget that the one in the video is just the pre-production prototype / proof-of-concept model and not the finished version.

Makes me curious on what's being displayed on their own website and why they didn't bring that one along.

The one being displayed on the website if I remember correctly is one Matt put together out of resin; a proof of concept model. The one at the show was most likely a prototype production model. A lot can change before now and when they start shipping. I'm sure they're not going to forget the trigger. Little non-functional parts like that are often absent on touring show pieces for various reasons (usually a customer trying to pull it and snapping it off).

This is all educated guessing, but I honestly wouldn't get too worked up about it just yet. Besides, I'm sure aftermarket upgrade part runs will be made to make things a little more functional on this prop.

I'd be interested in seeing what becomes of that market.

The lack of a counter that counts down when the trigger is pulled was a harsh one to take. Kind of ironic that the Korban Dallas blaster had a countdown on it that we never saw in the movie, but this Pulse Rifle counter that we DO see in the movie doesn't include that feature.

From what I hear the working counter is what made the Dallas blasters so expensive and many of them were faulty.

Hyperdyne already has a great PR electonics kit. I hope I can incorporate it into my rifle.

You know...I have never watched any of the Alien movies until two days ago....And now I'm looking around to see if I can figure an extra $150 into my budgets......Darn you guys! :p

Better figure it out quick. The OD Green rifle is sold out, and from what I hear, the brown bess is not too far behind.

Don't tell me that! :lol Because now I'll panic, wait to long and miss out! :lol

So let me get this right, the pump action on the shotgun does rack then? It has the the "loading" feel to it? It doesn't just move back and forth? And the triggers pull?

I went through the thread, but I'm not for sure if I got evrything down right. :lol I mean, it seems to me for a metal pulse rifle, it's the best deal. Right?

We heard that it won't rack but Tommin is going to modify one just to show everyone how to do it. Plus get a dummy GL round in there rather than having an empty chamber.

But the final product could change. Won't know until someone actually has it in hand and does a review.

P.S. The production numbers that I read are:

Olive Drab = 250 (sold out)
Brown Bess = 1000

Features include:

• Aluminum Shrouds the same dimensions as the original “Hero” Pulse Rifle.
• Metal retractable shoulder stock
• Metal barrel vent
• Removable magazine
• Light up LED counter display– sets at “95” when the magazine is inserted
• Moving “Grenade Launcher” pump handle
• Themed wall display plaque
• Accurate “Brown Bess” colored shrouds
