Licensed Pulse Rifle pre-order

The GL pump handle is WAY too loose on his, just barely tilting the gun will cause it to slide back.

In post #1014, Jeyl says that there are two screws that can be tightened to solve this problem. Has anyone else tried this?

The fit of the GL pump seems to vary quite a bit; another obvious qc issue. On my BB PR, it's a bit shaky but not so loose that it falls down if you point it straight up in the air, as some are experiencing. I tried to tighten those two screws a bit more, but they won't budge. I can live with it as is.

On my OD PR, the GL pump is just perfect! Tight (but not too tight) solid action - feels much like a real shotgun, actually.

Outer box does say Aliens Pulse Rifle and all the rest on it. Pray your neighbor isn't another prop collector or Aliens fan!

Well i got a tracking mail from Prop store so it should arrive tomorrow....when im at work and the house is empty...darn!

So looks like next week before i get. Is the outer plain? Or is the outer box the one with Pulse rifle printed all over it? Just wondering if it gets dumped at the neighbours!

No problem, i can go and pick it up for you and keep it safe 'till you're home. My name? It's um...Bob. Bob Properson.

I forgot to mention that the first time I turned my counter on it flickered for a few seconds. Since then, it's been working just fine for the dozen or so times I've switched it on and off. Crossing the fingers...

There is a copper strip on the bottom of the mag well which makes contact with the two springs on the mag clip base. On mine the piece is painted over pretty well so it is conceivable that the paint might actually interfere with the electrical contact depending on how the springs hit it. So you might just want to try sanding the paint off the strip where the springs make contact to ensure good clean contact.

TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a little birdie tell me that the glue used on our little friend was heat reactive. Its currently 92 at the house (33c) and sunny. Mine had a slight droop. Not enough to send back but enough to try a quick easy fix. So I left it outside for 30 minutes upside down on the carry handle to let heat and gravity do its thing. Guess what? Straight as an arrow!! Once warm, you can 'adjust things' but gravity and the sun did it for me. I let it cool in the same upside down position inside the house. I would be willing to bet some were stored in a hot warehouse or shipping container right side up and not properly supported.

Ill post a pic in a few minutes.

Now where in the world did you hear this?... (don't answer) ;)

DEATH TO HCG! DEATH TO H... uhhhh... what? You fixed it with virtually no effort on your part by turning it upside down... heating it up... letting it cool... but... but... what will we do with all these pitchforks and torches... Thanks a lot. Do you know how much effort it takes to get a lych mob whipped into shape just to have its righteous anger deflated so easily? You sir, are a stick-in-the-mud! :lol:lol:lol

In all seriousness, if this truly is a fix, that is just AWESOME!!!

The wall mount shot has a little 'fish eye' effect. Im not a professional photographer and I can only do so much with my little camera, but its straight.

Once the PR was nice and warm things are plyable. But if you break your junk dont cry to me. I didnt have to use any pressure. It just sagged back into place while it was upside down. For those of you who have a little more sag youll probably have to press down on the lower lip of the end of the spas cage in the opposite direction of the sag while its upside down putting pressure on the shroud. Make sense?

As an FYI, my droopage was in line with Kobe's and Hirohawa's PR. It just didnt bug me cuz I knew I would be tearing it apart one day when we get firing Thompsons legalized here in Kalifornia.

No kidding! If this is true then we're saved, but how long can it last?

My as mate had a reply from hcg. This was there reply. I have posted the email on the aliens legacy forum to

Hello,

We are sorry you are not completely satisfied with your Pulse Rifle
replica. This replica is now completely sold out and because of
manufacturing logistics it is not possible to have any more produced.
If this was a simple fiberglass/resin piece then we could simply order
some more from the factory, but to produce the metal parts there are
very high minimum order quantities involved making that impossible.

We have also been looking into whether it is possible to make
alterations to your existing Pulse Rifle to address your concerns, but
due to the nature of its construction that is not possible without
damaging the piece.

After a lot of thought this is the solution we have for you. We will
put you at the top of our Wait List and as soon as a unit becomes
available it will be inspected and then exchanged for the one you
currently have. This process can take up to 2 months, but in the
interim you can keep the one that you currently have.

If a piece does not become available after this time then regrettably
the only remedy we can offer you is a refund. Also if at any time
while waiting, or indeed now, you would prefer to return it for a
refund then let us know and we can arrange that for you. Please let us
know what you would prefer to do. If you would like to take the Wait
List option, please forward us a photo that shows the problem area.

Dont use a hair dryer or heatgun. Its too much concentrated heat. The Spas cage is thin and will warp along with bubbled paint! Believe me I thought of that first.

Maybe try putting in front of a window in direct sunlight or make a heatbox out of cardboard. Then diffuse heat into the box via heat gun so that it heats evenly.
