Licensed Batman Related Leather Goods. Batman Arkham Knight, REVEAL 10/03

Re: Licensed Batman Related Leather Goods. BATMAN BEGINS - Customer Photos! Updated 9

Hey David, for those of us who already have this jacket is there any chance we would be able to purchase the new chest piece as an upgrade? The whole chest is just attached with Velcro so it should be a simple swap.

I wore my TDK suit to a party today, I had to have had my picture taken with 20 elated kids, the woman who was having the party's response said it all, "Holy crap I really have Batman at my party!" These suits are just stunning in person.

It sounds vain, but when I put it on and look in the mirror this suit I reallly think I look like a real live superhero. Your work is just awesome.

Just placed my order for the current TDK suit run, Q2 2012 can't come soon enough! I apparently jumped in at the right time with the new chest design. I had the pleasure of getting David on the phone when they picked up my call and he's one of the most helpful people I've done business with - very patient, meticulous with sizing, knows his product inside and out, and understands what his customers look for. I already have a cowl and neck guard that I think look great (gonna be interesting to find a way to use the neck guard with the TDK suit), all that'll be left after Q2 will be the cape!

Kevin got around the neck guard by removing the neck from the jacket, it looked really good IMO. And if your looking for "the" only cape to get. http://www.therpf.com/f13/screen-accurate-batman-begins-dark-knight-capes-ready-ship-94144/

How does one remove the neck guard? Is it removable straight out the bag or do you have to get a tailor to properly remove it? Or can one fold the neck guard into the jacket? Just not sure how stiff that construction is between the neck guard and the rest of the jack.

Yeah I've been eyeing that parachute fabric cape, it's very pricey but looks worth it, just don't think I can put down that kind of money until early next year.

Has to be removed by tailor. That's not just parachute fabric
-Custom made fabric of electrostatically flocked parachute silk
-Made to the exact measurements and pattern of Christian Bale's hero cape
Think he only has 4-5 left so... ;)

Ok, guess that's a bit of extra work on the neck guard, I was gonna get the gauntlet fins separated and re-attached double row anyway, might as well get the neck guard removed at the same time, probably add velcro on it so I can put the neck guard back on the jacket if I want to just use the jacket by itself. Thanks for the info.

Any guesses as to what this is? :angel

Over a dozen different versions have been done and finally...we have a winner.
It's a metallic finish, two tone leather with remarkably awesome visuals.
The pieces are just pinned to the rest of the jacket, not yet stitched into place...and the mesh is not aligned directionally as of yet, but we're getting there.
Wait until you see the full thing....you wont believe what we've done this time. :darnkids :lol

Re: Licensed Batman Related Leather Goods. BATMAN BEGINS - Nomex Pre-Suit Updated 12/

Final assembly of the Batman Begins: NOMEX Pre-Suit jacket and pants has started. :thumbsup
What you see above, now looks like this.:love

I was asked earlier if this was to be our most complex suit yet...and I answered yes. NNow you can see why...

What do you guys think? Is it starting to take shape now? This is still a work in progress, and some of the waves in the shoulders need to be corrected but this is essentially the look of our leather NOMEX biker suit.

For me the most important aspect, visual details aside... were all the transparent sections revealing a lot more going on within the suit. This is what pushed us to think outside of the box like never before to obtain these really cool results. :thumbsup

Love to hear your comments, critiques or suggestions now that I have something 'assembled' to show here. :thumbsup

More coming....:angel

Wow simply amazing! I would have never thought it would be possible to make this into a leather suit but you pulled it off again, and even though this is considered motorcycle gear your the first one to make a nomex replica in any form. Great work David can't wait to see more.

I know you usually put armor panels into the jackets - are we seeing some sort of hard fiber panels there? Or is that texture embossed leather?

Thanks for the vote of confidence bud!:thumbsup

westies 14,
You're seeing leather and a lot....LOT more going on there. :love
Once I'm ready with the full reveal all will be explained in detail. It goes without question that this is our most elaborate, and challenging from a design fused with function garment to date....but it sure is beautiful.:lol:cool

More to come!

We're exhibiting at the Toronto Motorcycle Show the first week of January and this is expected to be on display....so we're working day and night on finishing it up.:confused
