Thanks to Duane F. for sending us this pic of our Batman Begins Motorcycle Suit...as he's set it up for his own personal display.
While not a costume, this does show how intense and effective our commitment to quality and accuracy truly is.

This really is form molded leather to the extreme! :)

This is truly one of the best licensed costumes out there. Your stuff is incredibly practical, and your commitment to accuracy shines in every piece you do. It can't get better than that!

Re: Licensed Batman Related Leather Goods. BATMAN BEGINS - Customer Photos! Updated 9

Thanks guys, this is all very humbling...and, we're just overjoyed by the incredible feedback this Batman Begins line has begun to generate. :thumbsup

We did our very best to push through this production delay, and while we've unfortunately had to torture you all with this extended wait as we produced the goods 'again' for the most part...it's pretty remarkable to read the reviews so far....and now they're really starting to pour in. :eek:lol

Thanks again for hanging in there. We've been pretty good until now with our delivery time frames, so I do hope that this last one hasn't cast a dark shadow over what it is that we do here.)

I guess I will be the first to say it... I am not happy with my pre-suit gloves. The pics we were sold on (like the one above from your facebook page) are nothing like the gloves I received today.

The studs are inaccurate. The forearm armour is not removable like mentioned somewhere before. The actual forearms are WAY to wide that they look ridiculous when wearing them.

Long story short... I am kinda bummed.

Sorry to hear. The Begins Pre-Suit gloves are heavily influenced by the 89's, but they're not 89 gloves per say.
The forearms are sized to fit over our jacket because they are in fact motorcycle gloves, and the forearm armor was never stated as being removable. Making it removable would have meant some kind of attachment base behind it that would not have been safe for riders. The forearm armor is in fact protective.

The studs are standard palm stud placements that can vary from glove size to size, and not at all something that the base design is in any way conditioned by.

I am sorry to hear this, but the quality of the gloves is top notch in every way....but not, and never have they been sold or advertised as 'accurate' or 'actual' 89 gloves. Since day one they've been described as Batman Begins Pre-Suit gloves.

I do hope you enjoy them just the same.

Just got to see Kev's suit yesterday. Wow another awesome job David and team. :thumbsup I think it's a work of art what you accomplished with leather. The gloves were actually my favorite part, not an 89 glove fore sure but very nicely built and the fin/armor casting is flawless. Again job well done perfect fallow up to the TDK IMO. :cool

Nightwing Returns can you post some pics of your gloves please.

Re: Licensed Batman Related Leather Goods. BATMAN BEGINS - Customer Photos! Updated 9

David: I didn't knock the quality. They are nice in that aspect (except that the velcro inside [to hold the fins in place] does not fully work. It only half stays together because of the leather seams overlapping in between the velcro.), but they look nothing like the pics we were sold on. The pics we were sold on must have been a set of the 89 gloves you made a few years back off the patterns of the screen used. And I know its not the size of mine that added an extra stud, because I bought Medium. I'm not trying to start anything, so dont take this that way. Its just constructive criticism. I just feel like I got duped like so many did with the Rubies Batsuits, hahaha

Decard: I will post pics as soon as I get near a camera. Hopefully tonite I will snap them, and tomorrow I will post them. Stay tuned.

Not at all bud. :thumbsup
I mentioned quality because quite frankly that's what we focus on as well as the accuracy...they both must go hand in hand.

There is certainly a fine line with our goods, one that we work hard at making everything look like it walked off the movie set...but they are without a doubt motorcycle products. Now maintaining the screen accurate look can be both easy and challenging...particularly when they're goods like this long forearm glove that has to fit over a jacket sleeve that has both leather and CE Body armor with it.

I really can't comment on anything Rubies related, but in the case of the goods I produce, yes.... and yes they do hold their own.:thumbsup

Again, I am sorry to hear you're not happy with them because we do work very hard to impress with all the goods we offer.

How are the Q3 orders looking?

Re: Licensed Batman Related Leather Goods. BATMAN BEGINS - Customer Photos! Updated 9

Thought I'd post a pic, just messing around to see how it fit and what it looked like with our cowl, cape etc. ;) I know little thin for it but think it looks not bad for a leather bike suit, again great suit David. :thumbsup

Finhead: The suit looks awesome, what parts did you do? Cowl and cape only, or did you add anything else?

Great suit David! Still saving for my TDK suit :D

Awesome Finhead!
I see a Bale likeness in there, and great pics bud. I think this is only the second time I've seen our Begins leather suit all costumed up, LOL....tonnes on bikes though. Still pretty cool...a little big on you but cool none the less!

Here's a TDK Chest piece update..
Like all things, if improvements can be made on an existing product...no matter how successful it has been to date, I feel it's our obligation to do so and never to leave things 'as is' because it's either easier or just commercially accepted by the masses.
Case in point, the chest part of our TDK Batman Jacket.

I felt that we could get the shapes and forms tighter, smoother and closer in detail to the actual movie suit. While pretty cool in the past, I think now we're able to do even better....here's a look at what I'm talking about.

Still working on it but, the outer edge is completely gone now, which means a lot more work by hand now in the finishing phase and it's really really really painful on the fingers. :cry

a15cd768.jpg

Also you can see how well the details now all stand out...and we've eliminated 90% of the visible stitching..

b7599924.jpg

This is clearly a huge improvement...and I'm still not sure if we can do away with the outer edge stitch around the Bat Chest logo or not...but, even if we must do it...I think this is leaps and bounds better even as is.

Thoughts?
Those of you waiting on Q4 TDK suits/jackets...you're getting this improved version. :angel:thumbsup

What do you think?
