Licenced Iron Man Arc Reactor for 150.00!!!

Looks good and the price is good. I can see a couple of inaccuracies like the screws though. It would be nice to see a picture of the rear.

Doesn't Museum Replicas usually have a booth at Dragoncon? If so, I'll see if I can get some pictures (assuming they have this piece displayed there).

Wow that would be great. Weird timing on this licensed replica but hey, at least it will be available!

I'd be interested in knowing who makes it. It would help give an idea of the quality. I'm also not a fan of the wire being the way it is connecting things.

I was checking this out at there booth at comic con this year, it definetly looks very screen accurate, and for that price its a real steal, I think i'll be picking one up!

Its one heck of a good price actually. BUT the only issue with Museum Replicas is that they have a history of having prototypes and finished products that don't look the same.

anyone know if these are ready to ship now? I didn't notice it saying pre-order or anything.

I saw this in person at SDCC and it is not very accurate to the proof piece as I have an... ahem... much more accurate reproduction of this piece.

For the price though... for a semi accurate display piece, not too bad.

I see several inaccuracies, starting with the base and screws securing the base pole to the bottom plate.

What's up with the long red/black wire?
The "Proof" font is too small.

JMTWO's and Screen Used

What's up with Museum Replicas crappy photography? It looks they are using an old cellphone camera. Looking at JMTWOs and the screen used example there appears to be a gap between the copper banding and the center ring that the MR one does not have.

I'd say pass.

Can't the inaccuracies be replaced? Like, we keep the reactor and upgrade everything else with our own base and round frame with fonts? Someone could machine an upgrade kit.

Why do these companies keep making false claims about accuracy? It's not as if people can't get a hold of the movie and make their own comparisons. It's not as if people don't have...eyes.

People who keep saying $150.00 is too high are just not very familiar with the prop-market. One can expect something, like this, to be marketed for over $350.00 and up. I remember the crappy Green Goblin pumpkin bomb retailing for over $300.00. It looked like a Christmas tree adornment with lights.

I will put it on my list, but I want to see reviews from people already buying it.

I think they use this version as a reference, which I don't believe was screen used...

I think it's a nice piece for the price, but far from accurate. I'd like to think I'm pretty familiar with the ARC.:lol

Just some things I noticed offhand:

The base is incorrect and doesn't look in proportion to the ARC.

The font on the Proof ring is way too small and I believe the wrong font.

Doesn't look like the glow ring has a "coke bottle" tint to it.

It's missing the transistors under the central slotted ring.

The central slotted ring is too big and too close to the wire-wrapped glow ring.

The central slotted ring has 9 slots instead of 8.

The screws are incorrect on the central slotted ring. One arm has a single hex head screw while the other two arms have 4 smaller hex screws. The MR piece has a single slotted screw on each arm.

The center screen is way too thick.

The Wire wraps look nice though!

Man, how does a company get the license, presumably have the cooperation of Marvel, and still miss on so many details?
