Hey everyone! Quite surprised there’s not been a thread on this movie! Any of you watched it? What did you think?

I am personally a big fan of Edgar Wright and thought this movie was fantastic, great storyline, banging soundtrack and the cinematic especially with the light was mesmerising! Would totally recommend if you haven’t watched it!

Quantum Leap, but with hands that grab you through the floor and wall?!?! Wasn't expecting that

The trailer shows nothing of the story which is quite nice for once haha. Also it’s nothing like quantum leap, nobody’s swapping bodies really.

I really enjoy Edgar Wright’s overall work, and this was definitely a mature step. That said, I didn’t really enjoy this one or Baby Driver as much as his earlier films.

Yeah, I like that he's exploring genre he hasn't done before, but really like it and Baby driver too! He still has a very unique touch in the way that he tell stories. Also I always loved the layers of details in all of his scenes too. There's always something happening in the background you might not notice in the first viewing haha.

Even with World's End, I thought he was faltering a bit. I enjoy his vision and his technical abilities as a filmmaker but I think he's definitely shown his faults and hasn't found a way out of it since Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.
