It's been a while since doing too much modelling. We had a rough 2023 with cost of living rises and my wife required heart surgery (very successfully might I add).
While Christmas shopping, I had picked up a 1/72 Bandai X-Wing and after painting it decided I really wanted to do a top half repaint of this falcon. It was always a bit grey in person and a bit smudgy on some of the weathering. I wanted to whiten it up somewhat to see more the exposed image I see on screen. In person it's a huge improvement. I figured I would share it to add to this old thread.

And just for good measure a couple of pics of the Bandai Red 5, complete with lighting on the engines, R2 and the cockpit. This was all hand painted and used 3d printed engine nozzles from 308Bits on Shapeways,
