Landspeeder Bed..

Haha! I have been told, by two different people, that the bed in that film is the most accurate replica landspeeder built since the original!
I still haven't looked for it on cable or in the used DVD bins though...
Great picture, it looks very cool, albeit terribly impractical.

I let me kid get too interested in other things! I'll have him sold on me making him an AT-AT bed and by the time we re halfway to the hardware store, he'll be bursting with ideas for other beds "We can make a Lightning McQueen bed! Or that big ship in Super Hero Squad (the Helocarrier)! Wait, can we make it out of Lego?"

Very cool. I've seen the AT AT bed before. The land speeder is cool, but as suggested, might make a better office desk [that you can sit in] than a bed.

Awesome work! Does the middle come out so he can use it as he gets bigger?The four panels look like they come out.

The bed has panels that are removable so the sleeping area can be expanded to the size of a twin bed. The front is a toy box with a hinged lid. I've replaced the plasma engines with led fan lights that look more like turbines and are more consistent in their appearance. We already have a full sized C3PO in the opposite corner and I'm working on R2D2 now. R2 will have a multimedia projector and have space to store a game console. The last thing is to put the wall mural background up. When the room is finished I'll post more pics. Update: The room is almost done. Still working on r2d2. Expect to be finished with everything by the end of September.
