Landspeeder Bed..

Might as well keep the action in this thread going. Check out the bed/loft here:

....or the triple level bed type here. The upper (3rd) bunk is inside the AT-AT body.

Man can you imagine having any of these as a kid? Complete with stormtrooper or Rebel pilot pajamas!

Wow!!! So much inspiration!
I want to make both that bed and the TIE-fighter desk! Real sweet furniture!
Maybe a Jedi Council Chair for the desk to make it extra geeky? :)

Check out the thread on building with. Pink foam insulation. He made a land speeder using the foam. Would be perfect for making a bed id think.

Oooh. Hmm. The frustrating part for me right now is waiting for my kid to grow up and be interested in stuff other than Sesame Street and Fraggle Rock. I can't wait to start building some neat stuff relevant to his own interests. :) He's only 14 months old.. sigh.

I felt the same way. Now my son is three and he helps me all the time, its awesome.

14 months eh? Give him another year and then watch the original trilogy with him. My kids each got that on their 2nd birthday and they're both huge fans. I made sure to follow it up with a few of my old Star Wars toys to seal the deal. :)

Building a bed like this would be heaven to my kids. Maybe after my HIC.

At 14 months you could start them with Doctor Who though... May not sit through the whole episode but the title sequence puts my kids into a trance! :lol

14 month´s is a good age to tell him that his father needs his room now ... will become more difficult with every month ... have fun :angel

Yeah, I recall that movie, the amount of stereotyping they did with that guy was rediculous. Almost embarassing.

Very nice! 2 is an excellent target age, and I will be doing this for sure. Along with mock lightsaber dueling, of course. And the obligatory "I'm.. I'm your fatha!"..

Now, wouldn't it be just perfect to convert a tanning bed into a HIC?

There was a child's bed idea that I found when searching IKEA hacks.. it seems like it would lend itself well to conversion into any number of star wars beds, from an AT-AT interior to a Wampa cave..

I don't have enough bedrooms.
I wonder if I can extend the house to add a few.
There are some fantastic beds and rooms there.

My kid is only 7 months old. I can't wait until he's old enough to do a project like these with him. My wife certainly won't let me convert our bedroom that much. Thanks everyone for posting the photos.
