Lando Wrist Comm FOUND PARTS

Either way I ordered them. I'm the purchase option it says "each" so I was confused about the lot vs individual sale. Should be here in a few days!

Completely forgot to pull this the other night but here is the first casting! Looks pretty good with the exception of two small bubbles (nothing a little spot putty won't fix) but overall not bad for a first casting. Now to start cutting out the curves on the long sides for the wrist curvature

Wow, really good work! I just started learning casting myself, i recognize what you went through

Hell of a first cast
Thanks man. Cut the sides up yesterday. Have a Borden connector I will be cutting down for this. Pretty sure it was cut down and glued on the original. There is room for it but it us super close to the edges. Too close to drill a hole for it without damaging the cast. Gluing seems the way to go for this part

is that pewter cast?!
Nope. Resin. I just used molotow chrome to paint it :). It's not a very detailed casting though sadly. I have a highly detailed resin printed one here somewhere. Will be molding and casting a few of those in pewter eventually for these if I decide to do a run.

This is the type of dental expander used on this prop. They have a central cylinder instead of ball. I'm using them on a Vader Reveal because I couldn't find the correct ones.

Very cool. I know the typical sites for militaria, these type of parts.. is it mostly ebay or are there other online communities where medical and lab stuff is sold?

Ok, so my 2 cents .

The inside piece under the cover looks like painted canvas or at least gives the appearance of it. Certainly has the same texture

Definintly has the same texture, but that brings up the thought of what could the yellow/white "bars" be? Almost looks like bubble strips under the plexiglass. It isnt, but thats what it looks like to me.

Think its possible that the resin housing could be painted black and the bottom of the plexiglass is textured? Makes more sense than the prop team placing canvas under plexi.

I noticed the lines on the plexi look like they were scored in. There is something going on at the edges.... and I do see the cross hatch cloth looking stuff behind it, but the yellow stripes... like he says I'm stumped. they look awkward like found parts
