Hey, great work again! I would also love a casting if possible. I thought I'd mention too, that top layer face plate definitely comes off in the movie. Too many similarities between the concept art, rumors & final production helmet. The cloak, Vader's Helmet & the Star Destroyer bridge/"padded room" (almost) are featured in these renderings. Plus, look how perfect this would fit with the final design. Plus, it would fit with the "broken" motif, provide a Vader like villain & play on the "more machine than man" meme of the state. (Joseph Campbell) His hand may still be robotic but I wouldn't doubt if they opted for less artificial hands. A little overkill haha.
Potential spoiler, I guess?
Also I think the final Kylo does not have human eyes! Greet symbolism there, definitely a mystical possession theme.
... Now that I have the Helmet shape somewhat roughed in, your absolutely right. It definitely has a German stahlhelms feel... I also see a very subtle Japanesse Akiro Kurosawa samurai influence here as well... Then there's theobvious Vader feel and influence... As I continue to pour over photos and the conceptual helmet, I'm starting to wonder ... Hmmm... There's a lot of damage on this rig, could the helmet be peiced together from Vaders old charred Helmet and Armor? ... Just a thought, I'll have to wait til Dec. 18 to gladly find out.:rolleyes
