I wasn't happy with my tube connectors so made new ones. On the original prop you can see the are inserted into a piece of grey tubing.
So I did just that.
I also experimented with my aborted neckbrace to try and achieve the correct look at the edges. You must cut the vinyl covering open and remove some of the piping along the top.

Well I agree with Kroenen, they are too big. So I dug around and found some 1.6mm aluminium tube and made new ones.
Top: old, bottom: new
The underside of the top tubes have a little cutout which allows you to lift the upper mask forward like Luke does in the movie without it catching on the tube connectors.
Also solved another small problem today. I was unable to find any red plastic tubing for the underside of the 'nutrient feeders' but did find some electrical connectors with just the right size sleeving.

Finally, after months of trials and tribulations I have the foam liner done. This is 100% screen accurate medical foam CNC cut to a pattern I spent weeks working on. Thanks to Gonk27 for his help!
