Klingon Disruptor from Diamond Select Toys in 2011

I guess I am in the minority because I like the new disruptor. I already have a MR TOS.

The MR TOS is fantastic, and very accurate.

As to the Excelsior, I actually prefer the Enterprise B version! Probably because I never liked the Excelsior to begin with. :rolleyes

I can't believe the Excelsior design was so much a part of TNG though... ships of that class appear all the time! Well it's popular among most people I guess, just not me.

I'm with ya Mate, that movie/TNG version has always been my fave too. Hope DS does release it along with all the rest.:cool

I'd rather see them complete the Star Fleet motion picture-era with the TMP and TWOK communicators before making this odd leap into alien role play.

Funny you should mention, because I did notice the absence of the Star Trek II communicator in their display. I haven't heard mention of it since the phaser came out, so I'm beginning to get a vibe that I can only describe as "iffy."

Why make a toy version of something you can cobble together for $18.50 at Radio Shack? :rolleyes

I keed I keed.

I like the new disruptor as well. Remember the one Playmates put out? It made the Playmates TOS phaser look screen accurate it was so bad.

Sure I would like to see a TOS disruptor, but for me it isn't all about TOS either.

Sure do... In fact it's still in my display case. :lol

But other than garage kits there wasn't anything else to get at the time.

I actually prefer the ST:III version over the beak nose TNG one- but so long as it's 1:1 scale I'll be picking it up. :thumbsup

I have one still as well. I like the STIII version also, I remember wanting the rifle version Marco had for sell way back when, even though it was horribly inaccurate. :lol

I'm hoping if this one does well... Maybe they will do the ST3 version. Heck I would have loved a garage kit at one time. Sure they weren't accurate, but they were better than the Playmates.... or at least the ones I saw.

Wish they were making the TOS Disruptor, I never liked the movie/TNG one as much as the classic. I do like the BOP and I also like the Excelsior over the B.

I already have a landed BoP.:lol

With the landing ramp.:cool

I can't tell from the Toy Fair images but hope it has a ramp also.

Little known, and never demonstrated fact about the boarding ramp- it can deploy forward as well as rearward as shown. Since it's situated in that little dome on the belly, it can rock forward or backward and slide out either way. (if there isn't a whale tank covering it.) :lol

I did not know that! Very Cool!

Meh - I'll get one. I think a Trek III or V starfleet phaser would have been the better choice from a buisness and sales standpoint.

I really hope this isn't the case. I was really looking forward to getting one of these.

Does anyone know if the Geological Tricorder is still a go? It seems quiet on that front, too.

The geological tricorder is still up for preorder at Entertainment Earth. I'd take that as a good sign. I'm also concerned about the TWOK comm as well. DST is too quiet on the front about this one.
