Just got a life-size BB-8 with lights and sound fx.

Just got this guy yesterday, I love this little droid. It features sound fx and working lights. Even came with a little stand for him. He goes well with my R2 from the same builder. Here is a short video of them working

Nope, fan made. Targets does not have electronics and not as detailed.

some guys have really fooled me with stickers, they get them to look so real

Cool... Ive seen decal builds, and while they look great, as soon as I turn on TFA and see BB-8 for the first time, I'm like "nope...decals don't cut it"

BB8 Builders Club has released all their files to the public. Be warned its about 60 hours (3 rolls of filament) just to print the dome. Depending on your print bed size you can print in 3 or 4 parts. They also released a beta of the body.

You used 3 rolls of filament, just for the head?!
I used less than 1! with 25% infill, which is more than enough
The body is going to test my printer to the limit, though. Glad it doesn't charge me for overtime

I received mine from the same person, it's absolutely fantastic. I think I am going to upgrade the sound effect on it, but overall I am very happy with it... better than I could have done.
