JURASSIC WORLD Owen Grady Costume

My Owen Grady costume is now 100% complete and I couldn't be happier!

Thanks to everyone who watched me create this project.

Below are just some misc. photos that include the pants and boots I got, not 100% accurate but being only 14 with my budget blown, they were the smartest choice.

I'll probably bust this bad boy out for Halloween, maybe get someone to go as a dinosaur or Barry(the african american side kick in Jurassic World)

Here are the final photos of the costume and then when Halloween comes round I can take some full body shots, hopefully I would have lost weight by then.

So with a bit of luck I found a local knife maker here in Australia who can make me the knife!
He is currently sourcing the Tiger Maple wood for the handle.
He will make a mock up then we'll get to the real deal. I should have it in my hands in about three weeks. So I'll post pics wen I have it.
hopefully Dragon Leatherworks can make me a sheath if I send them the measurements of the knife.

For anyone who still needs the J Brand pants, use the code ENVYME for 25% off. It's only good for two days though.

Hey Indy, how sheer are these? I'm trying to convince myself to spend the money on it, but I want to make sure you can't see my man-nips through it first. Or my thicket of belly hair.

Important to note those are not the SA pair, missing studs and it's a different cut.
J Brand puts out certain styles year-after-year and there will be subtle tweaks. They are still the Kane model in the correct color. If you want one with the studs and the over-stich on the back pocket, then you need to try and find a pair that pops up on Ebay or a sale site that has old stock..

J Brand's site

Cheers, I had a look at them and they're $326....
thats way too expensive

Just got an email from Steve Auvenshine & looks like he'll be making the knife to people who enquired about it but it is way out of my price range.
Luckily I found a guy close to me who can make the knife for a fraction of the price.

The correct ones are still available on several websites.

Hey Folks,

Figured I would update here in case anyone was interested.

Steve Auvenshine is now beginning production of the movie knife. What he's doing is starting with the oldest e-mails in his stack, and offering the knives oldest email to most recent email.

Naturally, there will be some folk who will pass on the opportunity to own one of his knives. Others will probably ask for two or three. In any event, the good news is that he is starting to produce them, so if you're still interested but on the fence, you can send an email and when he gets to yours in the list, he'll contact you with particulars.

Regards,

DragonLW

Thanks Dennis!

I'll have an order for a sheath coming your way pending pricing/funding... I got an email from Steve the other day, but no price information...

Cool! Thanks much!

If folks buy the actual Auvenshine knife, there is now a separate add to cart section on my JW page where you can order the original knife sheath. That will prevent my system from sending out a follow-up mail asking for folks to send their knife for fitting, where its obviously not needed because I have the pattern of the original knife.

Regards,

DragonLW

With the knife being custom made, there would be slight variations I'm assuming... Would that affect the effectiveness of the sheath made off the template?
