JURASSIC WORLD Owen Grady Costume

Dragon, how about making the sheath AS IF it´s made for the movie knife? I mean, an exact replica of THAT sheath?

RPF1.JPGRPF2.JPG So this is my attempt at owen's gun - not completely screen accurate but I feel like it is a recognizable enough model. What do you guys think? Anything I should add?

I stripped a daisy red ryder bb gun. I basically took the barrel and sanded it down and then re sprayed it metallic so it looks like stainless steel. I then sanded away the wooden stock and handle of the gun. My first effort was to restain the wood itself, but the wood didnt have a great grain pattern so it turned out bland. I ended up using con-tact brand adhesive paper, which runs in all sorts of patterns. I found one that had a nice distinct grain pattern and it looks similar to the movie version. Mine is a bit more of a lighter wood stain whereas the movie is a bit more grey. It turned out to be like a 60$ project so not too bad.

I can make that exact sheath, sure. But the problem is, it will fit ONLY that knife which was used in the movie. Another knife might be too lose, or maybe it won't fit at all and be too big.

But yes, I can make a sheath and ship that too, as long as there is no knife with the shipment. But I don't know how useful it will be if it won't fit a knife properly.

Jbrand kane in industrial pants are on sale on nordstroms website for $119 for a limited time due to their anniversary sale... Jump on and get some while supplies last! Jeez I just sounded like a commercial...

Those with the addition of another sole (tread). I ended up picking up two pairs at a good price from Sears because they were nice boots! I will wear one out, then use the others once these die. :D

Thanks, Iggy!
I live in Canada, so I doubt I will find them at my Sears. I may have to spend the extra money and order a pair off evilBay.

Got my Orvis Open Air shirt in blue today! Love it! It fits perfect and feels great!

Plus I am going camping in 2 weeks so I know which shirt to bring with me!!!

Must say TK9336, You are quite the Pratt look alike, you should consider going to Comic Con as one of his notable characters.

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post this here, but can anyone get the Orvis belt for me ? As they will not ship that particular belt to Australia.
they said they'd still honour the deal they just can't post it.
so I'm reaching out for help

So, the positive confirmation
on the Henley is a J. Crew henley?
Also, I'm pretty sure many Alan Grants and Owen Gradys will cosplay together

To clarify - the henley was NOT J Crew. It's from Homespun Knitwear, a company whose products are available through J Crew's In Good Company collaboration. But yes, the one in the link above me is the correct one.

Ok. I have found that some J. Crew he let's look similar. But the real deal is better.
Homespun is Canadian if memory serves

Taking a small step back here, for those who still haven't done the Orvis shirt... do it!!! super nice!

Fit is really big!!! I'm a L-XL in most clothes, and the M-long is almost too big on me! 6'2" 180lbs 40" chest.

Anybody get an eBay vest in the mail yet? I'm very interested to see what they look like in person
