Julien’s Upcoming Hero Phaser & Communicator Auction

Guys, what's your thoughts on the rhinestone mounted to Gamma's one surviving control knob. I don't know if I see it on the caps
from DOTD. I'm not convinced they belong since clearly someone added stones to missing knobs over the years.
1) I believe they were actually on the original prop for whatever reason, 2) leave them OFF because even the highest quality screen caps don't show them clearly. Even Wah was not perfect. Err on the side of what we actually saw onscreen is my opinion.

You know, I could almost be convinced that it was there on the Beta during filming.

As an aside, Beta was unquestionably the Kirk Hero prop, just as Alpha was the Spock Hero.

Yet, Alpha gets all of the attention, thanks to its closeups in "Friday's Child" and "Patterns of Force".

But when you stop and think about it, the top-tier hero phaser, communicator, and tricorder have now all been found and documented.

Amazing.

I decline, pay for your own research. I do not recall seeing you at my meetings in the LA area or in Seattle with the MoPop curators and staff. See video as filmed at MoPop with Zolar-X and display case open before public hours.
I don't recall seeing you at any of the W.C.C. open house events he's had over the years...

Inserting yourself into certain situations will never make you an expert.

Learn your place.

I don't know why you posted that video of the Zolar X midgrade, which based on the several occasions that I have seen it both on display and in personal hand examinations.

I will ask why you choose to focus on it since the literally the only reason it's considered screen used is because it's part of the Mr. P. Allen's collection. It doesn't match up with any other screen used midgrade that I personally have examined and I personally think it's a very well done replica with some rather notable flaws....

I will NOT continue this particular conversation with you in regards to the Zolar X....

Who remembers this ****** excuse of a midgrade phaser forgery?

Thise was the first of two supposed "Nichelle Nichols" phasers that went up for auction... WITHOUT addressing the obviously wrong physical details, the very heavy handed and unnatural weathering is an tell...

Take note of how the paint wears there is no "feathering" involved in the wear pattern where more than one layer of grey paint is....

I don't know how model makers do their grime and grease coat, yet the dirt layers don't have any of the natural characteristics one should see...

Probably the one GIANT tell ..
