So as not to lose new image links in the middle of other threads I thought I'd start a new one for the pre-restoration images.

For me the big revelation is the brass pins for reinforcing the connection between the grip and the P2. We've seen these holes in the bottom of the original Greg Jein phaser but not the pins themselves.

It seems the pins would have to be inserted from inside the p2 body, with the p2 body half shell still off, after the grip was twist-locked to the phaser. Cumbersome, but it explains how they were able to put up with those lamp plugs, which otherwise are too floppy to be reliable.

Are there any head on views of the phaser 1, showing the emitter box and/or rear views? These particular angles have yet to be seen.
