Gotta love the mids...

Well the mids are the prop that is the idea phaser and almost a work of art. There’s a certain irony in that the heroes are the design everyone thinks of when they think of TOS phasers, yet the midgrades are much closer to the original intent, without the clunkier rear fins, the thinner trigger boxes, etc.
While it may be easier to remember with a simpler naming system.I think someone (Will) should designate these heros with names similar to the two hero comms being called Alpha and Beta. I sometimes get a little confused with Lenore ,Riley, etc..
01 - Conscience / Lenore / Riley (That's pretty clear)These are the name I have been using while documenting them myself:
01 - Conscience / Lenore / Riley
02 - Greg Jein
03 - TMOST / Finney
04 - Nona
I have hesitated to rename them because these names have been attached to some of them for decades. I am in the process of completing a document that identifies them (where possible), the dates they were filmed and the unique features of each. I am only at this time concentrating on the period between "Dagger of the Mind" and "This Side of Paradise" which is the interim period between when Wah converted them to the grays and when the mid-grades showed up in "Devil in the Dark." It has been extremely interesting and enlightening. I will of course share when I am finished.
Simply adding numbers to the existing names like you have done is more than adequate. These are the name I have been using while documenting them myself:

04 - Nona

I love my two mid grades. Yeah, no velcro. I streamlined 'em!Well the mids are the prop that is the idea phaser and almost a work of art.
I have always liked them mainly because they look stream lined...
It just shows they found a perfect balance
I love my two mid grades.

I stole these off the set when I was 8. Worth a fortune now. I'd sell them for the right amount of Quatloos, though....too bad Nichelle Nichols is no longer around to exploit in order to pass them off as originals for sale...
I prefer the real deal.....I love my two mid grades. Yeah, no velcro. I streamlined 'em!![]()
Yeah i believe you would....I stole these off the set when I was 8. Worth a fortune now. I'd sell them for the right amount of Quatloos, though.
