Yeah, and that doesn't mean there's still lots to learn"Kid"? I'm old enough to be... your older brother...
Well like I tried to tell you the time "relax, they were made by hand....."Wow, I feel like I tried way too hard to make my phaser look 'perfect'. I should have relaxed a bit....
This IS my second one... I can improve on it though.Well like I tried to tell you the time "relax, they were made by hand....."
IF you were to build a second one you will be able to improve on your initial work
Great catch! It looks like the first modified hero phaser to appear on screen was filmed on 8/09/66 and based on the location of the screw and short emitter, it appears to be the Conscience / Lenore / Riley. This would have been the first appearance of a hero after Wah Chang converted the black and whites to the grays.

Here is another great screencap of Conscience / Lenore / Riley in actionView attachment 1841522
This was one of those rare moments in TOS where things are more interesting than phasers.....This also appears to be the Conscience / Lenore / Riley based on the front screw location and the back screw. This scene was filmed 8/12/66, three days after the first appearance. I believe there are three heroes in the scene at the end when Kirk, Spock and Noel find Dr. Adams on the floor of the treatment room. Each of them appear to be holding a hero.
EDIT; Great minds!! I think we were posting this same scene at the same time, lol

That is my point and why I was posting the filming dates, indeed the Conscience / Lenore / Riley was the only one filmed for the first few days which supports my theory that this was the first finished and likely the first delivered to the studio. It was not until 8/17/66, over a week later before we see other heroes besides the Conscience / Lenore / Riley.Interesting that they seemed to favor the Lenore early on, then shifted to the TMOST hero as the favorite, beginning around "Court Martial".
First one done, that's the one. Later one better? Promote it.Interesting that they seemed to favor the Lenore early on, then shifted to the TMOST hero as the favorite, beginning around "Court Martial".
