Julien’s Upcoming Hero Phaser & Communicator Auction

It occurs to me that the handles are not white after all, but a soft light gunmetal gray...
They were initially white, yet once you get oils from the hand, dirt and various lighting conditions the color ends up more of a bone white but can photograph any number of colors.

[ The Man Trap] [ The Man Trap ]

I have completed a slide show after looking even closer at the B&W P2s and the lessons learned from this thread. So I updated this post.

I will start a new thread about the B&W P2s next year.

Of note - there is no screw on the right side near the nozzle of either the B&W Finney P2 or the B&W Riley/Lenore P2.
The B&W Greg Jein P2 and the B&W Unknown P2 both had screws on the right side near the nozzle.
Since the front right side screw is not visible in the Engineering room scene in "The Enemy Within" (which is in the 4 B&W Hero P2 poster above),
I have included a zoom of the same B&W Hero P2 that Captain Kirk used to stun Dr. Crater in "The Man Trap" below:

The nozzle on this P2 is a cylinder.

Herocomm has completed a great analysis of the Beta Comm:

I agree with their conclusion that the jewel seen mounted in the one remaining hub / knob is not original to the prop and must have been added, post-cancelation by a prior owner.

That’s a relief. Now we don’t have to rethink the wheel, when it comes to the comms’ details.

Reading on the Herocomm site, another reference to a "secret" tell:

In addition, and not to tease, but as mentioned elsewhere on our site, there is also a "secret" tell, a tiny but readily observable feature seen ONLY in Wah-built communicators that is not published anywhere on HeroComm, as a deterrent to forgers. It was happily reported to Julien's that the tell was indeed clearly visible in the photos they supplied.
Common tells are listed here on the site.
