JJ ABRAMS Enterprise

The awesome expanse of the main viewscreen. That helm console is about the size of a football field. Note Sulu's big handle grip at far left. That must be the eject switch.

This might be the Kobayashi Maru scene where we learn that Kirk slept with a Starfleet officer (seen briefly in the trailer) in order to get the codes to cheat the computer,

:lol:lol:lol

Thanks, I just spit soda all over my monitor.

Why do you need desk lamps on your console to view lighted displays?

If Ron Moore is good at anything it's stealing other peoples concepts and wrecking them. He should get with Majel Barrett and see which one can ruin Gene Roddenberrys ideas fastest.

Please. When it comes to ruining Gene Roddenberry's ideas no one can hold a candle to Gene Roddenberry.

It was Gene who decided that the third season of TOS was not cannon because he didn't like the fact that his budget got cut down. He was a fun one.

SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is actually when the enterprise warps into Vulcan orbit to find 7 federation ships blown to smithereens by Nero's ship. Vulcan is being drilled into by Nero's ship, which causes all the mayhem we see in the trailer. (spock beaming into the middle of the rock slide, spock leading his parents to safety, kirk running to the bridge to warn Pike that the 'distress signal' from Vulcan is actually a trap set by Nero)

Okay did you just spoil the heck out of the movie or are you just flinging plausible guesses around for no sensible reason?

The former.

Most of the "spoilers" in that post sound like they come from a reasonable analysis of the four clips that were played for the press recently. Those clips (and their subsequent write ups) do a lot to sketch out the plot/threat in the movie, and it's not too hard to piece together which shots match up to which plot points.

So yeah, it's a spoiler. Might actually want to remove it for those folks that are spoiler sensitive.

ha sorry, I just assumed since 4 press clip info was online everyone knew... I'll add spoiler tags

You wanted to post something in the vain of "look what I know" and it backfired. You should remove it.

You don't see me posting the script up here.
