JHusel, how do you do it???

Yup, this is prop related. Sort of.

Putting aside the open animosity between us Trek geeks who are always trying to one-up each other in the prop department, I'm always fascinated by the stunning pictures that JHusel posts of his props.

STUNNING!

They're always so well lit, well photographed, and totally sharp.

I'm curious if you'd be willing to share your recepie for success. What type of camera do you have? What settings do you use? Any particular lens? Do you use a light box? Can you take a picture of your picture taking rig? Can you post some more pics as examples? What kind of lights do you use, if any? What kind of bulbs?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated. I mean, after all, you're talking to the guy who photographs his props on top of a blue pillow case. So any bone you throw would be awesome :)

I think he's posted about his pix before...that is...some comments about how he does it.
I agree...they're flawless and breathtaking.
I'm pretty sure there's a home-made lightbox at work there.

Im pretty sure hes using the Fujitso 36 shot instamatic, available in the tin foil or box wrapper from any Rite-Aid or CVS store. They have the easy wind mechanism and you can get them with a flash too .Look near the sunglasses. Thats where they usually are.
