JB/Vaderguy...still alive???

Anyone will do what needs to be done at gunpoint.  Agreed???  Do you give him more chances based only on that???

Dave, I wish that were true. Look at Bowjunkie, he's been at gunpoint forever and done nothing (or next to nothing). At least JB came through, if he did indeed.

Thanks, im VERY happy with it, but had to wait a LONG time on it.

the finish is superb, very nicely made and a top quality paintjob.

Looks like you got one of his "Version 1" helmets. I'm amazed that he's still shipping those out - especially since he's had the superior Version 2 available for such a long time. :(

Chris

I'm glad you are so satisfied with the product. That was special order and it took a little time to complete. I have PM'd those of you who requested info/replies. If anyone else in interested please let me know.

Cheers, Marcus

If it was a special order, it's a shame he didn't go the extra mile and provide natty15d with the much more accurate Version 2 helmet.
At least the Version 2 has has the correct details / shape / proportions for the ANH version. Not sure if JB ever found out the source of his Version 1 but it's certainly not from anything that ended up on screen.

Darth Marcus:

1. Are you soliciting sales? That can only be done in the Junkyard, which you cannot yet access due to join date and post count.

2. No one should be soliciting sales for JB regardless.

I would highly suggest to anyone thinking of ordering through Darth Marcus to make sure they've read this thread very carefully.

Moreover, Darth Marcus, since you are neither JB nor owed product from him I suggest you cease participation in this thread. If JB wishes to communicate with his customers here (and he damn well should) then he can do so himself.

Well said Jay.
Yes, Darth Marcus is clearly soliciting new sales for JB. He has openly said this on several threads since his arrival on the forum. We all tried to warn him about getting into anything with JB (due to JB's apalling customer service track record) but he carried on regardless.
I'm glad that you've made the mods feelings clear on this.

Considering eveything Im glad the mods stepped up as well. Good call Jay. Even though this "MAY" be a turning point for JB he should still be dealing with customers himself.

I don't understand. Does this mean that people will get the :thumbsup signal to start ordering from him, just because he has sent out a few helmets years after they were paid for? Or am I just misreading things.?

I do apologize for offending obviously "everyone" on this forum. It's amazing how many "vendors" are posting under other assumed names, etc. I will stay away from "soliciting" (as you call it) from anyone. I will ask if you, as a mod, have even read JB's letter to you explaining what had happened? If you had replied in this post as to whether it was satisfactory or not, would ease a alot of minds. But, you haven't chose too.

JB's a grown man and I will certainly encourage him to post on this forum/junkyard. It is up to ALL of you as prop collectors to decide for yourselves if you are interested or not in JB (knowing things have changed).

Unless otherwise noted/bashed. I will just watch this thread and monitor what is posted. I don't mind getting anything in the open, as long as it's objectively done.

Thanks for your time.

Marcus

Horses%&^.

How have things changed?

He offered me compensation for my troubles and I still had to practically threaten him to get my original purchase.

He then PM'd me saying he "regretted offering the compensation"...

Yeah, so..??

As I've said before, "regret does not equal absolution".

A year-and-a-half later and I'm still waiting for that compensation.

I don't consider him anywhere close to being a "man". :rolleyes

Wow, I'm glad I came across this thread. I was really interested in acquiring a JB ROTJ Vader helmet...well, I still am, but not at the cost of all these headaches. I hope everyone that has dealt with this guy finally get their helmets. I was just looking to get a unfinished helmet, but seeing how long this thread is, I think I would have to pass if it came from him.

in the end this board means nothing in regards to your personal opinion of buying from a seller or not, if they cant sell here they probably will elsewhere.... if you read a thread like this and still order its up to you to deal with the outcome , the board and mods have no bearing on sellers and thier practices,

personally seeing a seller like this and taking into consideration his past deeds i would stay away, just a personal opinion :unsure

I could have sworn there is a buy at your own risk
i think it use to be the jediricks rules for the junkyard
whenever i get something i always check on a person, there posts see if they have anything negative on them
on another site I go to there is a feedback for members not for the purpose of slamming a person just so you get a feel of who you are dealing with and how he deals
once again this is a buy at your own risk so everyone should take certain percautions when buying

JB is and always will be a Con Man! That's really all anyone needs to know. We need to have a thread stuck on the main page that is titled bad dealers or something similar. That way people can check themselves against the list without having to sift thru pages and pages of crap. Other forums have done this and it only makes sense to protect people from these predators.

Dave

The thing is though when people do eventually get their stuff 1 or 2 years later all is suddenly forgiven.
These people suddenly go from being total losers and conmen to ok blokes but a little slow.

I agree with that dave although i'd also like to see a list of good dealers too, it's much more useful to know who reliable people are.
