Honestly it mostly looks like a slightly improved Rubie's Supreme.

Same. The thin helmet just looks bad though. You'd think they could add an inner ridge to make it appear thicker like the actual helmets...

Seeing the super-glossy Jazwares videos in my feeds I was initially impressed with how this costume looked.

Seeing regular photos of the production costume this is an OT version of the Rubies EP3 Vader costume. The bodysuit looks slightly less ‘costumey’ but all the solid pieces look like thin black plastic especially the helmet and shoulder armor.

It looks cheap, nice but cheap, and it will look cheaper next to a high quality Vader kit sourced from higher quality components. The Jazwares is Halloween quality not convention quality.

For a budget build, some elbow grease, paint, styrene and creativity it might make a decent base to build a Vader costume from. We all know it will never compare to lineage parts or the high end artisan builds, but for an affordable option it looks decent.

It that price I’m interested I just want to see it to make sure it’s actually a new JW sculpt and not something like the old Rubies Vader helmet from 2005 since I already have 2 of those still sitting in the box.

Gah! I bought two. The price is too good and the piece looks pretty dang good, even for just a display. I've toyed with doing a full Vader costume for years and I may just go for it piece by piece. Oh what have I done??? Lol

Okay, I broke down and ordered one from the Halloween site listed above. I signed up for email/text alerts to get 20% off any 1 item and applied it to the helmet. With $18.99 taken off the $89.99 price plus tax and shipping I’m paying $90.70 total for the helmet.
