ANH Jawa Stunt ION Blaster & Alternate Blaster / Tool RESEARCH THREAD

I posted this info in my Hunting Thread and also thought it would be good to have a research thread.

During my Jawa Blaster, Bandoliers and Costumes research I was going through frame by frame to identify the M95 Pouch used on the boss Jawa bandolier when I also came across some very interesting Jawa Alternate Blasters, I am not sure if these have been identified & posted by others on the RPF but it was a surprise to me as I took the Screen Caps.

I shared my findings with Markus OdiWan72 and after taking clearer Screen Caps we identified 3x Alternate Blaster styles that used the following items;

What camera grip are you referring to?

I see a vintage amphenol connector attached to the Graflex clamp, no camera grip...

Oh thats interesting. I was going with a snap pneumatic line connector which we have on some of our pneumatic readout units in our labs at work. Very similar and some date to the 1970's. They have a small diameter clear hose with connectors both ends.

But, now I also see the amphenol connector.

Big sigh. Here we go again...

It now looks smaller than i originally saw.. I saw one of these first

There's a bounty gun with another camera grip that's why my brain went right there

holy **** - good eye!

In picture #2, I see a rolliflex camera grip attached to a Graflex clamp, WITH A V2 BLOCK aka missing a sidebar!!!!!

halliwax get your V2 butt over here

Holy hell...... sorry gang I’ve been sick, and in bed for a few days. This is all brand new to me

This is remarkable... what are the chances of they clamp looking exactly like the V2’s..

I need to research more but I wonder if this is the clamp that ends up on the v2?

Gotta try and see the freak’n lever!!

Gotta try and see the freak’n lever!!

This is legit torture... dying to know if the long lever is on the other side...

I have been over the on-screen footage and Screen Caps I cant find any glimpse of the other side of the clamp or the lever, I wonder if there are any behind the scenes or off-screen photos that may have captured this prop?

It’s crazy.. the reason I’m believing this is the v2 clamp is the weathering in the clamp box section

Is it me or does it look like the weathering matches perfectly?

Honestly it doesn’t have to have the long lever, this could be before the lever broke and was replaced

BUT I swear I see the thread sticking out the locking block, like it does on the v2 with the long lever

I’m willing to bet that lever is on there at this time

This is a really exciting discovery, I never knew a Jawa blaster had a clamp on it, let alone it possibly being the v2 clamp

I'm not 100% sure but I think those connectors are two slightly different versions of a late 1950s Plessey socket/plug. Both the mid sections are shaped different, one being angular and the other more rounded, but both are used for the same purpose. The connector shells (what we are looking at) have many uses - from aircraft cameras to Racal tranceivers to Larkspur headset summing mixers, so there should be a shed full of them out there somewhere. The cable clamps at the top ends are the main difference.

Those connectors look spot-on (y)

You can see the metal rectangle poking out of the clamp, whatever these connectors are attached to must be like the plates on the side of a camera that the clamps attach to

You say exactly what they are... and I still have no idea what they are!

Its been a few hours since The Ninja replied. Thats valuable hunting time while us mortals sleep. I sense parcel companies throughout the world mobilising and picking them up from far flung addresses and heading off to just one delivery destination...
