I also just changed the upper torso.
I put the air intake and modified the center.

It looks like it still needs to be touched up for the movie.

You mean completely replaced with CG, right?

FYI he's wearing a mark VI chest and no shoulders at all, in the movie it becomes a mark VII full armor. Even most of the helmet is replaced with a battle damaged version and some extra details on the sides of the face.

I had the same issue, however the parts in question are still in the file they've just been removed to the upper most left hand corner with all the 'discarded' parts. There are only two pieces missing, the small square piece right at the top back of the shoulder, and the piece that runs on the outside and below that piece.

I had the same issue, however the parts in question are still in the file they've just been removed to the upper most left hand corner with all the 'discarded' parts. Yea I figured it was just removed as discarded pieces but I didn't know they were still on the file or not. Those are to two pieces I'm talking about.:lol

Lol yeah, if you just zoom RIGHT out you'll see all the discarded bits sitting up the top left. Then I just clicked on the ones that looked about right until they lit up on the model lol.

Yup, but I'm not happy with it though. Need a better coating method, plus it's bend slightly.

You may notice I got the decals ! Those i'm pretty happy with them.

By the way, these new hot toys pics are great ! Very helpful !

4-5 half diluted PVA
3 Plasti-dip coats
3 Adhesion promoter coats
2 filler primer coats
flexible putty for finitions
1 filler primer coat
then the actual colours.
I strongly feel I need something like an epoxy coating or something similar, otherwise I'll never achieve the smooth look I'm looking for. By the way, did anyone heard back from the stryrofoam spray stuff company ? Can't call them since I'm not in the US and only have a cellphone, and they didn't get back to me after I sent a message through their website.

Thanks for letting me know mate, I'm just slowing gathering ideas as to possible coating methods and what works and what doesn't etc.

I used Rondo on the MKVII I made, but it was time consuming, messing, toxic and just plain annoying. It did however give quite a decent finish.

I used Smooth-On 65D on my Cap America helmet, and it gave the plastic finish nicely, with a decent amount of give in it, however with such a limited potlife it isn't feasible to try and coat large pieces evenly in that time.

I'm currently messing around with both an aerosol plumbers sealent and auto body deadener, as well as testing out Doc Holiday's method, with mixed results so far.

Msleeper and Don Juan- Personally, im going to wait until i release my V2 files, since they will be more accurate. I go crazy when things arent accurate :sick

Great! Youll have more time to finish your war machine suit also :love which will be awesome. But dont worry everyone. I will definitely come back with a new set of more accurate IP files . If any of the files i already made happen to already be accurate, then there will be no need to remake them (unless people request it).
I think ill wait until the movie comes out to remodel certain parts, just to know how everything functions in the movie, so i can model the new files to function accurately in real life :thumbsup. But until then, we must wait :unsure.
However, i started working on something last night that i think you all will like
