I am redoing my chest since it needed resizing anyways. Also, I'm learning more tips as I go to minimize cuts and make things easier to work with, Thanks again jackie for all your work.

For those of you planning to 3D print the full arc reactor (all 3 pieces), I ordered mine yesterday and it was about 40$ for smooth plastic material and red resin inner arc, so it might be cheaper I you do it all in the same material, but all in all I'd count 35-45$ in your budget for the arc :thumbsup

Since I've been an audience of this thread and wanted to contribute I wanted to ask the people on this if anyone knows how to work with Arduino and Tilt Sensor? I found this great!!! Tilt Pan that would be perfect for the Cannon. :D My offer is I'm willing to supply the stuff needed for this piece to work with a tilt sensor and once is completed the codes must be shared within this thread :D If anyone wants to take on this challenge please do PM me for more details. It will be 3 sets. 1 for who ever is programming it, 2 for me, and 3rd as a donation to jackie thats if he starts building his suit LOL :lol all this hard work and no play maybe this can get him to get going with the foam (y)thumbsup

can anyone help me on scaling the files for me? i'm 5 5. i recently made the mark 6 and got the scales right and planned to copy the scales in it to the iron patriot but the scales on the iron patriot files are different form it. and i'm really confused about it. can anyone help me? it would be nice :D

yeah me too. im 5"5 and im having trouble with the scales cause it's different from the iron man mark 7 scales i made. i'm really confused now. :(

I'm not sure if you are following this thread or just got to it but previously it was stated with this information.

Jackie's Height is 5'5", the scale set below is a rough estimate so you need to do a test fit by printing out on regular paper and tape them together. and see if they fit. if not then try to a lower scale.

If changing the scale is an issue trying measuring your body parts with the pep parts. ex. Forearm height is 11 in. for me, so convert that into into MM which is 304mm enter that number in the Height Section of the scale and everything else should adjust. keep in mind to leave some room!

As everyone on here would say "search button" is your best friend. :)

Well put Twisted. This is just my opinion, but if you are new to this thread and want to build the IP suit with a wealth of knowledge, then subscribe to this thread and read the entire thread. I know it's a lot of pages, and a lot of the information will not be very helpful, but this resource is a veritable handbook for building the Iron Patriot. Even if it takes a couple of hours to skim through the posts, the things you learn (especially from our mistakes) will save you countless more hours and frustrations later. Anyways, just my opinion. I still search this thread to check on how to do things better, and I know I've read all of these posts at least a couple times already. :lol

I'm around 6' tall and between 85-90kgs (depending on how much weight training I've done in the week prior to weighing lol) and I have thus far scaled the upper and lower torso pieces to 384.76 based on point to point measurements of both my chest width and height of both pieces together from base of neck to base of cod length wise. However according to that table that scale would be for someone significantly smaller than I am, a good 5-6" shorter in fact, so I wouldn't necessarily take the table as gospel, more as a starting point to then factor in your own body shape etc.

That being said I haven't built the pieces and tried them on yet, so who knows lol. It remains to be seen how that turns out.

im 6'2 and 204 lbs. I use the 393.5 scale. it seems to work for me. but i have said it before and i will say it again, just because that scale works for me or if you scale is the same as someone else, dosen't mean it will work for you. Your best bet is going to be trial and error with the scaling. I test build all my parts in cardboard first. then if it is good, i proceed on with foam.

Twisted6- Wow! That seems almost perfect for this! If its small enough to fit in the cannon, im sure that it could work :) And dont worry i think i will start soon on my suit. Im currently making a Rescue suit for the lady and after that, i will start on my own Iron Patriot suit to put next to Rescue and the Mk VI :D

P4r4dox86- Exactly! I was thinking that. I dont think people should base their suit scales on the chart very much at all, because i am almost certain the 6' 8.5" scale is completely wrong (i did a VERY quick measurement of the suit that im almost certain is wrong). Point to point measurement is the ideal form of suit scaling :)

IronLeoMan- Sounds pretty good! It seems you got the whole servo thing figured out ;)


Elbow has just been unfolded by IronLeoMan so it will be up in the first post pretty soon :)
