Thanks Jackie , relly don't know how other people can pep so fast .
@Joker53 , whish i was already as far as you . I pressume you made the shin also out of foam , how long did you roughly take for 1 shin (cutting and assembling ) . As i only started with Pep about 2 months ago i would like to get a comparison of how much quicker a foam build goes . 1 Shin took me about 4 hours in paper .

has anyone considered a ball swivel joint for the legs and arms?
or is that too much mass for slim areas?

good progress joker53 and others.

can someone point me to a tutorial on how to import different pdo pieces to make a full body visual in pepakura? i wanna put all the pieces together, make sure the height and width is good, and just make sure everything looks proper.

is such a thing even possibru?
thanks for the 5'7" scale as well dude!
im 5'6" but imma have shoe lifts to get me a little taller for the patriot.

Open pep designer. Open 1 part (but don't make it the helmet, because the never match the size), then go to file and click "import", choose the next part you want to add. That should put it on the screen in conjuction with the other items in the right spot. If it does, you did it right. Then import the next part, etc. It doesn't work perfectly with all pep files. But this one it does.

Torx- For arm and knee joints, I'm building polycentric hinges (like what's on a knee brace) that can be popped apart with a little force. It requires hinge plates to be fiberglassed in, but they won't take up much space at all. Ball joints at the shoulder would be tough, I'm designing a bracket to attach the shoulder bells to the torso so that they can swivel. Depending on the forearm and glove builds, the biceps may be wearable without top-straps. As always, I explain stuff poorly, so I'll try and get pics up of the hinges soon.

Jackie- Glad you're getting a break. Great work so far, pic below is what your models can produce! :thumbsup

Don Juan- Here's the 393.5 suit with a 9.00 scale in paper. Keep in mind pieces are just tagged together and not oriented exactly, but this is good for 6'1"-2" person.

I really don't know how you do this so fast! :popcorn :confused:thumbsup(y)thumbsup(y)thumbsup great job man!!

Re: Jackieisrockins Iron Patriot(IM3) Pepakura Files! Links in first post! Shoulder a

Are all the pieces scaled at 393.5 ? That would be perfect, right in my range !
Can't wait to see your build fiberglassed and painted by the way !

Suit is 393.538. Helmet scale is 9.00, and I have an average size head. The helmet fits, although ears get in the way when slipping it on, but it is a good working scale.

Yeah, I usually pep the day the files come out so I can test fit immediately. Insomnia helps too I suppose

Re: Jackieisrockins Iron Patriot(IM3) Pepakura Files! Links in first post! Shoulder a

Oh I share your pain about that ! Helmet isn't a problem, I'm in the wait list for projectearth's helmet, I just need a suit to go with it ! Anyway, thanks for the reply, makes my life easier, no wasted foam and time loss !

Re: Jackieisrockins Iron Patriot(IM3) Pepakura Files! Links in first post! Shoulder a

Peruski- Oh no! I had completely forgot about the foam conversion for the shoulder! :confused Let me get on that right now :)

Laellee- I wish i wasnt taking a break :unsure i wanna finish these files for all of you out there but theres nothing to work with. But wow! Great job with the suit! It looks amazing!

Teragon- Good luck with your build! We'll be looking out for your progress! :)
