I've released my Ark of the Covenant 3d Files

My Neptune 4 max can easily print it all at one time, but the folder with the "Smoothed" angel only had it in cut parts

With my kits long sold out, I've been looking for a way to release the 3D files for it so people could print and build their own. I had asked Bruce Lee, who did the original 3D model of the Ark for me, to prepare the files so they could be printed, as well as a legend of the parts.

My original kit build instructions thread here: Building an Ark of the Covenant from our kit

As an active R2 builder and parts provider to the community, I've been aware of the Baddeley R2 3D print community for some time. At Star Wars Celebration last week I had a chance to meet Michael Baddeley to discuss providing him the files so we could make them available.

I have done so now, and am excited to see builders take the project on.

You can find out about it here:

You'll have access to the files by joining his Patreon.

Any chance you have the art for the pole wrappings?

OasisSupernova when you finish yours, I think you should place an LED street light inside but facing up from the bottom and set on a trigger switch attached to the lid. That way, when someone opens yours, the massive engulfing burst of light practically envelops them.

Lol. This model does have some kind of slots in the underside of the lid that I think will admit light if bright enough to make this thing glow in the dark. Might add smoke also if possible. Idk. Lol

Just a heads up. If you’re printing the angels in sliced parts there is a significant amount of play where the wings meet the body. The best way to ensure the wings on both angels are tip to tip is the place an object under the wing tips and epoxy the wings at the same time on both angels so the tips of the wings are at the same height. I noticed that when I epoxied the first angel the wings seemed to want to angle down due to gravity.
