Glad you found them. Baddeley is at Celebration Japan right now so it might have been a bit before he answered.

Also, I love seeing people print the Ark. Good luck.
I noticed there are slots you can see through on the bottom leaf sections. I have a theory what these might before. Can you shed any "light" on these? Thanks.

Not much to report, but im still going strong.

Still going strong. Printer is running around the clock. Thing is getting big. I thought maybe these parts were scaled down when starting but it keeps growing. Now my only concern is where exactly do the 2 pieces of 36" MDF go? On top of the leaf rails and on bottom? Or do they sit inside the leaf rails? Time will tell i guess. Or does one go on top of the leaf rails, and one is for the bottom of the Ark itself? I honestly have no clue. Lol

I am printing everything at default scale, but I wanted to show comparison to the angels that were cast 2 decades ago. There is a scale difference

Yeah u noticed that when I went to create a plate for the angels. Lol. How did you get the wings to separate like that? Is there a file for that? I cut mine but didn't print them yet. That would look way better then what I did. Plus no seam. Any help would be appreciated.

Oh, and I almost forgot. I saw somebody do this along time ago. Probably what im going to do. How do you plan on finishing the Ark?
Back in the late 90s I made 2 Arks mostly from scratch. I purchased the angels on the RPF since 3d printing was not a thing yet. You can see my Ark here. Ark of the Covenant Full size replica-63

Back then It was not really feasible to do plating or vac metalizing. Ironically gold leaf was cheaper. Now gold leaf would be a fortune and artificial gold leaf just is not easy to do since it does not blend multiple sheets like real gold does.

So I have spent many hours testing different paints, and honestly they all suffer the same problem with top coating. One metalic mirror like paint that I have had good experience with is Amazon.com

But now you are talking about tinting it after to get the gold color.

I'm not sure what method im going to use yet. I'll probably rattle can it as a temporary solution till something better comes along.
