Also looks like the inside was finished for the opened-up close-ups. Anyone going to stain the insides to try and match the screen shot--that would be cool. Especially if you did the light show to go with it.

I probably won't do anything inside other than lights. Im not messing with that lid repeatedly. Lol

So they are just working like tile spacers? That'd be an easy thing to model up if you guys know what that gap is supposed to be between the leaves.

Yeah it's hard to see, but I just looked at a couple of exhibit photos and you can BARREELLLLLYYYYY make them out in the photos.

Im confused to flat leaves on the top are printed in 4 pieces. Not sure why you would need spacers. They lay down perfectly side by side. Then again im drinking heavily tonight. lol

Just a design choice by the prop makers. As with a lot of things in the prop world, they were probably on a deadline, saw an issue with those lengths of leaves wanting to move, and sad f$%* it tag them down at the four corners. It was either that or tear into it more and risk needing to re-apply gold. Even the cherub bases weren't super flush to the top of the lid on the original.

Defiantly not however there are some like myself that have this weird disorder on putting every little nook and cranny I see into my build. You should look at my build log to see the lengths I have taken
