Is there any prop that we can't handle??

Indiana Jones prop: I've never seen anyone offer the actual STAFF to the headpiece of the staff of RA. I know it's just a long stick... but I'm hoping someday an astonishing leap in the advancement of stick technology will make the dream a reality.

I'm more than sure this stuff could be done with the talent here, but I can't say I have seen any props from Ahh-nold's, Jingle All The Way. Turbo Man, Dementor, Buster..Turbo Man gift wrap...Wintertainment Parade posters...just off the top of my head.

Didn't make it, but I own it...

I also own a screen used Turboman comic, Gift Certificate and Cereal box.

The robot from red planet, the collapsible helmets from red planet, the personal computers from red planet, a retractable light saber. Anything that floats or flies and anything that projects a hologram. I guess if all that stuff was nonfunctional it could be done but I guess seeing something on screen that looks like something it really isn't, is the definition of prop.

Oh I thought I'd through this out there, sheet metal, screen accurate, Iron Man helmet. I'm thinking about starting a challenge thread, wondering if any one else could even try to pull it off ?

I take it you haven't seen Museum Replicas's offering? It's amazing. You'd be impressed! :lol

A real working lightsaber? I'd even take the tiny one from the Hitchhiker's Guide movie that cuts and toasts bread.

I'm still looking for a fully functional lightsaber but I imagine only the Pentagon can afford it considering the billion-dollar project price tag! :lol

How about the talisman from the movie, The Keep?
I don't have any pictures of it, but it was roughly a cylinder with one wing on each side that opened up to form a "T" shape. Then it also had a light inside that lit up a frosted dome on top.

It would probably be easy enough to make a static closed version, but I want one that can open via a motor AND light up at the same time.
And either be made out of aluminum or some convincing metal plating/spray paint.

I was just thinking, that from costumes to paper props to studio scale models, is there any prop that we as a group haven't done or couldn't do? I think I've seen almost every conceivable prop here.

Your Thoughts...

Brad

well, nobody yet has come up with the dye sub star trek fabric....

I'm going to open Pandora's box... but...

HOW... about an ARK OF CONVENANT? (from Raiders of the Lost Ark, of course).

This is one of the most wanted, and difficult props ever made...
