Is anybody interested in a "business" partnership...?

I feel like starting a new project.

Ramiel, your designs are completely awesome, i would like to see if i could breathe some real life into one of them, is there any gun / sword / knife you would like to see tackled?

I'll see if I have a "candidate" for you...:)
(BTW I'm still trying to finish that commission you asked me for, I'm just really behind my schedule due to my job and new life with my GF... I'm SO sorry for the incredible delay on that illustration...:()

I've been keeping the hubgun in the back of my mind but I'm nowhere near a point where I can even consider working on it. :unsure

Re: Is anybody interested in a "buisness" partnership...?

Hmmm... I like how it sounds...
Do you know someone who could help with the "tech" part of this project?
Also, do you think there will be enough room for a LED? (it's not needed, but will be soo cool!:lol)
I would love to have this scarab done... It is a very important thing for me...:$

BTW, thank you for your helpful comments;)

Just found this thread while searching for a Mara Jade blaster post I'd seen before, but forgot to bookmark- I am LOVING the work you guys have done! Looking at how long this has been up, I'm saddened by not being here for it earlier.

I agree, the jeweler idea is a good one, if only for the assembly, if not design. Which, if you have more pics of the design to send, I'd like to look over. I have a passion for taking prop ideas, and making them functional. IMHO, a solid rubber cast of a working prop should only be for stunt use, otherwise, where's the fun in it?!

I had some thoughts on some of Ramiel's designs posted that could be improvements, along that whole "it really works" theme. Some of the ammo mags should have base plates that are angled to be parallel to the barrel- the ammo would lock up and jam otherwise, unless the gun had a ridiculously complicated method to prevent it. The dual handle/dual bladed weapon posted on like the first or second page, needs to have the blades moved outward away from the handle a bit, or the user's hands will look like he arm wrestled a Quisinart. The Aries sword has some 90 degree edges on the blade contour that would be a problem if used in battle, jamming in armor or bone, but rounding them or smoothing them into the contours would fix that w/o sacrificing the overall design of the weapon (which I really like, btw).

I'm constantly amazed by the awesome ideas presented on this board, and the incredible talent so many members display, in so many ways. It's a constant source of inspiration and depression that I can't afford any of it!

If I can be of any assistance with designs, please let me know- I've got experience in many arenas and areas of interest, and have made my own weapons and armor for fighting in (non SCA) and have a lifetime spent in the pursuit of learning new and neat stuff to draw from. And besides, I just really enjoy the creative process!

Me too:D and thanks!;)

I've also "developed" this lightsaber... Slightly inspired by the Windu saber...

What do you think?

Gorgeous! I really like the asymmetrical vane placement on the emitter, and the matching location of the grip material- gives it an interesting and original look, while still giving a nod to other designs we all know and love.

First off, this thread is one of the reasons I joined here (just joined today actually...)

I'm totally in awe of Ramiel's designs, and the work that you guys have done...Nice to see some "inspired" props, and not just screen accurate...My first project was a Frank the Bunny (Donnie Darko) "inspired" costume that I made with the help of my sister and brother in law.

While I don't really have much to contribute at this point other than a thanks to you guys and a deep appreciation to your craftsmanship skills, hopefully I can work my way up to your levels :thumbsup

Bump!

Still lookin around in here for some stuff to build. Lotsa pages to go thru. Will post pics when I settle in on something and start it up.

This thingy here occurred to me a while ago. It's 'inspired by' (and by that, I mean mine's going to be built from) the butt half of a P90.

Still needs some details, but the inspiration is there! Go! Be inspired!

Pew pew pew!

Hahaha, love this thread so much! Can't wait for future projects from everyone! like the founder of this thread I love seeing his artwork become real, it's a real kick to see! And everyone who chip in with ideas and suggestions of their own. And forgive my at times weak english, my bloody browser thought it would be fun to stop helping me by removing all the red waivy(yeah, that's right) lines under my words -.-' Anyways! Someone keen on redesign some superhero costumes? I love seeing others interpitations of costumes like Superman, Spiderman, Batman and so forth.

A guy few days ago contacted me to tell me that he did a 3D render of one of my early designs...:)
Anyone remember this?
