this is looking great! wish I was as good with foam yeah the details on this mark 45 are amazing I love how muscular this armour is compared to all the others I am 3d printing this suit I have almost completed full arm n shoulder I will try and add the laser in the arm keep going

Yeah your back piece looks killer!

Now I'm building the abs and I'm using helgak unfold so there should not be scaling issues. Ok, I'll have to trim both sides :D But, my torso has a good fitting. I'll start a thred as soon as I'll have time.

Anyway, what about the abs mobility? I'm still tryin to figure out a way to leave the plates floating a bit but I don't know if this might work or I'll just have to stick with a fixed piece as you did. Are you tryin to solve this problem too?

my abs+cod are fixed so no mobility. i have an idea on how to do the abs with mobility in all directions but it'd be a lot of work (maybe after im finished with this build i'll redo the abs)

ill redo the shoulders 10% bigger because im not satisfied with the scale. afterwards, ill start the shins.

I'll have to trim the abs a looooot :( and also a bit in lenght. I've seen a video on youtube about an iron patriot that has articulated abs in the front and it works fine. I'll try to do something similar.

You should check it out. You can find it by searching "foam abs articulation", if I remember correctly.

I know the video, there are also some video with an mk7 with articulated abs. My idea is different - it's hard to explain but the main idea is 3 layers (no overlaying) of Sintra with rubber bands on certain parts

Effin great! I've just completed the backpiece due to lack of time and material. I'm gonna refill today eheheh. Anyway, did you scale the shoulder bells and the other pieces like the torso?

Cos yes, your shoulder bells look smaller than the rest and might be worth it to remake them since you did an outstandig work of art here.
Made another shoulder as a test which is 10% bigger and I have to admit it looks better than the first one. Looky looky [emoji39]

I am in need of a suit by October 24. I am willing to spend the money if it can happen. I am 5'7 160lbs. Athletic build and shoes are 9inches. Can you make this happen or anyone you know? Please email Matthew@1926marketing.com. I recently purchased from https://buyfullbodyarmors.com, but not sure if I'm getting dooped. Please help! Feel free to call as well. 615-496-1032
Where are you? If you're in the US I don't think that the package will arrive in time even if I send it on Monday. Start a thread looking for someone with a suit u can lease. Also ask in the fb group "pepakura library" and "ironman pepakura build " maybe someone's near you who can help. Good luck buddy

Scale testing of the ironman mark45. Yes the helmet looks big because I have a bobblehead. I also trimmed 4cm from the circumference of the thighs to make it tighter. I remade the shoulders +10% (not on the pic) only shins and boots left

I redid the left shin because the 1st one was too small. The details were pain in the *** - and I still have to do the right shin [emoji33] uploadfromtaptalk1445549114476.jpg

Didn't have time this week so the update is very slow. Right knee has just been finished. On with the right shin..... uploadfromtaptalk1446405258413.jpg

Duuuuude your build is coming along nicely, I wish I had as much time as you seem to have for cosplay, but college comes first I guess! :) keep up the good work!

right shin finally finished! I gotta admit, they have been the most annoying part if this build to make. Thanks to MZX for the shin file

Here's an update me wearing all except the boots. Next step: sealing and painting. I'm going to seal it with Acrylic emulsion and then use acrylic based paint spray (graffiti spray) and then I still have to put the joints and velcro to attach each piece together uploadfromtaptalk1447168848172.jpg

U can see here the lines I cut so I can push my feet through the shin. It will be put together with velcro.
